I am completely new to cruising, and I was thinking of booking a cruise for me and my husband's 10 year anniversary. I'm so surprised to find out that the inside staterooms are already sold out for August 22, 2015?? Does this normally happen? Is there a chance that more will become available? Should I book through a travel agent? I've heard some offer onboard credits.

In addition, my mother and sister (16) were thinking of coming on the cruise with us. Is there a room big enough to hold 4 adults? My sister is the tallest of us all, so she's basically like an adult. :) What is the most affordable option?

Thanks in advance. Again, brand new to cruising. Trying to learn a little here and there.

I do not think you could get for audits into a small inside room.

Have you tried selecting two rooms for this cruise to see if it works?

Is there another type of room that would hold four adults? I don't see an option on the website to select two rooms.

If you are on the website choose a cruise like you are going to book it. When you get to the next page there is a heading for "Staterooms" and in that box there is a place to select another stateroom. You do not have to actually book the cruise, you can get out of there but it will show you other rooms available.

There are inside cabins that allow 4 adults. We did a 7 day cruise in a standard inside cabin. It was myself, DH and our 2 teenage boys. Trust me they were adult size. Lol. We were fine and the smaller cabin didn't bother us at all. We tend to only be in the cabin to sleep and get dressed.

On some cruises the inside cabins do tend to sell out first. However, in my experience if you keep checking back, sometimes several times a day, they do reappear on and off. I've managed to grab one after they had previously shown as sold out.

Good luck!

I'm going to be honest-I think it would be tight. I just got back with my mom and 6 year old, and I don't think we would have wanted one more human-whether child or adult in the room. Also you'd be looking at 1 queen size bed, 1 sleeper sofa and one top bunk. The top bunk can't take a weight of more than 220 pounds.

There are the rooms with the murphy bed so that might be the way to go.

If we decide to all share a room (it would be to keep costs down), we would definitely need the murphy bed. When I view the room types online, they all say murphy bed (some or most). How would we make sure to get a murphy bed or is it not guaranteed? I'm just so confused. :confused3

an inside room cat 11 does not have a split bathroom and cat 10 does..with 4 adults i think a split bath might be important.

if you are looking at the Dream or the Fantasy, the inside sell out fast because of the magical porthole..a good TA that specializes in Disney can help you get one and give you great advice.

You're better off calling Disney Cruise Lines to book your vacation. I went in January with my husband and three girls. I did my research on Disney Cruise Line's website but then called to reserve. We ended up getting two rooms and the agent made sure our rooms were next to one another with a connecting door.

In order to see what staterooms are available with a murphy bed you need to go through the process like you are booking for 5 people. This will show you a list of what is currently available for your sailing.

These should be "Family" staterooms and your options are ocean view or verandah if they available. Categories 8 and 4.

I don't think there is a question of whether you will fit, but rather how comfortable you will be. I have done four adults in one room. The bed is for two and then there is a sofa and a pull down bed from the ceiling. When you request the sofa and ceiling bed to be in use the mousekeeping set it up for you every night and put it away every morning (perfect service). The bed that pulls down from the ceiling (usually where I find myself) is a large bed, it just takes someone a little agile to climb the ladder.

The problem I think you will face is utilizing the room for suitcases and moving around. Luckily with the newer ships (Fantasy and Dream) the bed is raised for suitcase space, which helps. But these are cruise ship rooms so its hundreds of rooms placed on a single ship, so its tights. But you'll mainly just sleep there, so if you truly want to save cost I would say wing it. Might be difficult when everyone is getting ready for a dinner or show, but the new ships also have the shower and bathroom separate, so more people can change at once.

You can book two rooms that have a connecting door, so it is kinda like one big room in a way. So if your willing to splurge that's an option to try.

But my group of four haven't had too many troubles in one room.

The Magic also has the new mattresses and raised bed frames, the Wonder is the only ship without this feature as of now.

::yes:: This!

A family of 4 adults -- mom, dad and 2 teen/young adult kids who are used to vacationing and living together may be fine. Will your DH be comfortable sharing a room with his MIL and a much younger SIL? Everyone will need to change in the bathroom, which can be tight; and as already mentioned there is no split bath in Cat. 11. You may actually find that 2 interior staterooms are not much more cost than putting 4 adults into one.

But as you've already discovered, the interior staterooms can book up -- especially with the "magic porthole" on the Dream and Fantasy. August is still peak cruise time as school kids in many areas are wrapping up summer vacation. Also, August 2015 cruises have been out for booking for several months now and prices have likely increased considerably. If you can push into September, you may find more options.

Good luck in making your decision and enjoy your cruise!

If you need a murphy bed you will have to book a category 8 Family Oceanview room with a porthole or a cat. 4 Family Oceanview with Verandah. You would have to call and specify that you need the murphy. Some cat. 8 and 4 rooms have a murphy and a ceiling bunk while others have one or the other.

We are 4 relatively large adults. My mom and sister are average height and sized 12 each, my dad is 6'5, and I'm a size 18. All 4 of us have fit in an inside stateroom 3 times now. Honestly, it isn't that big of a deal because we aren't in the room very much. We sleep there. That is it! We also don't overpack usually. It's very do-able.

I was going to say I'd call Disney directly or go with a travel agent to make sure you get a room with a murphy bed. But you might be better off seeing if you could do two inside rooms on a low level!

Which type of stateroom did you request? Did one of you sleep on the bunk bed or murphy bed?

Inside staterooms do not have Murphey beds. They have a queen, couch that turns into twin and bunk bed over couch. Also, on the wonder, the queen bed can be made into 2 beds. As far as not being able to fit suitcases under wonder beds, not true. We fit 4 large suitcases under ours.

You might have missed my post on page 1, the only category rooms with murphy beds are 8 and 4. 8's are Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms (porthole) and 4's are Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah.
