After ten minutes or so of head scratching I couldn't think of a title fit for this Pre-Trip report so hench the <insert title here>, nothing too creative but it's an eye catcher don't you think? ;)

Any Who... on to the nitty gritty.

The Who = The Cast, in no particular order for fairness...
Me, Darlene, this will be my third cruise on the Wonder (in less than one year), total cruise vacations 6.
My Fiance, John, see above..:)
John's Mom, Sue, has never sailed before on any cruise let alone a ship, I believe John has told me they've been on a river boat before, so this shall be an experience.
John's Dad, John Sr., see above...:)

The What = A three night cruise vacation aboard The Disney Wonder in a Cat 5 on Deck 7!

The When = June 14th 2007 - June 17th 2007

The How = Well we're madly addicted and we're bringing the family along this time. :love:

The Where = Port Canaveral, Fl to Nassau, Bahamas to Disney's Private Island Castaway Cay and then back again.

Now that we've got the details out of the way let the fun begin. :woohoo:

Us on our last Disney Cruise

Ok so here is the fun part, we booked our cruise yesterday 6/4. Up until that time vacation was going to be spent with all of us in a car on a road trip to NJ from FL. Obviously I'm happy the cruise won. I've got 9 days to plan and I'm loving every minute of it. At least I figure it will be tight but I won't stew for months and months drooling over the days I'd have to count off till the date. Now I've just got 9 more sleeps till GO TIME!

So far must do's for me include:
1.)Getting my picture with Captain Mickey, in both our past two cruises I somehow managed to miss out on this, of course John knew I was on a quest to get my photo with Captain Mickey and he got his done and never bothered to tell me Mickey was in the lobby! Nice...lol.
2.)Visiting the Rainforest room, we were so busy, busy, busy last time that I never got the chance to try this out. So this time watch out Vista Spa here I come.
3.)Must have lunch in Triton's or Parrot Cay, somehow we've never managed to do this before. Somewhere between the morning feast, the room service, etc we just didn't feel like lunch.
4.)Enjoy a Frozen Coffee drink in the Cove Cafe' and then take a dip in the hot tub, haven't done either before.

Ok John's must do's are simple...
1.)Chicken Strips ASAP, I swear he's addicted.
2.)Ship me off to the Vista Spa so he can do manly things in Diversions...lol

And for John and Sue....
1.)Avoid Seasickness at all costs...lol
2.)Snorkel at Castaway Cay

Now to fit that all in with only two full days, wow, help! :scared1:

Darlene,
I am so excited for you. I absolutely LOVE that picture of you and John on your last cruise, what an awesome photo!!!! Sounsd like you have a good list together of what you want to do. So will John really send you off to the spa? If so, HOW NICE!!!! This sounds SO much better than a car trip already! Did you get that laundry done?
Lesley

I could not be happier....nobody deserves a last minute cruise more thank "Tink's very best friend"! ;)

For you I am wishing for great weather, no seasick family members, extra time with Capt. Mickey, much relaxation in the hot tub and spa with frozen coffee at your side, and all the chicken fingers John can eat! I know you will enjoy every moment and this will be a trip to always remember with the family coming along. :goodvibes

I cannot wait to hear all about it!!!!

Tell the Wonder, the mice and everyone we will see them (and YOU!) in 2 short months!:yay:

Have the time of your life Darlene!!! You deserve this so very much!!
~~~~Kelly
Thank you Kelly. Can't wait to meet you guys. I feel like I already know you...=o)
3 more hours till it's 8 more sleeps...ahhh, so excited! It should be a fun time and when we get back we get to meet Tim and Lesley at the Magic Kingdom. Hooray!
What I got done today:
Nadda, lol! I did pick up some vitamins as I've been feeling really washed out latley I think from lack of sleep due to weird work hours. And did some secret shopping things with my Mom. Tomorrow John and I are planning a day in the pool got to kick this pasty white skin tone before the cruise. Got to look good, well as good as I can in my suit...lol. ;o)
Darlene really has a sense of humor as she has reported the laundry as being done.:lmao: Well good news is I am officially on my second day of vaction, and I am ready for the cruise. I am looking forward to the chicken strips. The last time I cruised on the Wonder I did the galley tour and was told that chicken strips were on of the most consumed items. I am also ready for some oat meal raisin cookies, and I can't wait to see my parents reaction to the ship. Well it's Yo Ho Yo Ho and a bottle of rum.
Ah, Paradise!
8 days to go!
Hey I did my half of the laundry...lol. I can't believe I forgot John's favorite Oatmeal cookies, what kind of a fiancee' am I? =o)
I need to remember to go out and buy a box of Kleenex as I know the tears will fall when the horn sounds next week.
Today's To Do List
1.) Hit BJ's for Snorkeling Equipment, a Camelbak and this Duffle Bag John's dying to buy.
2.) Figure out what we are packing and get it set aside.
3.) Spend two hours or so working on my tan, I will not go on vacation looking so pale.
4.) Figure out how to lose a quick 10 pounds so even if I gain it on the cruise my clothes will still fit...lol.
5.) Work on a budget, need to set myself a limit for my pin addiction.
Back from shopping...
BJ's we picked up two Body Glove Snorkeling sets, incase anywho is interested I thought they were a bargain at $39.99 which including a mask, fins and a dry top snorkel with mesh bags to put it all in. They also had ones for Youth/Kids for $24.99.
Our Duffle Bag aka Suitcase, John is certain we can fit it all into this bag to avoid dragging around luggage on the last morning. I threw in a supersized pack of Space Bags to help in the matter.
Bells, John snagged two pairs of Jean Shorts and two pairs of Khaki shorts. I found two pairs of Jean shorts and a nice tropical looking shirt.
And then it was lunch at Red Lobster, we had the Banana Foster's Cheesecake to remind us of the yummy Banana Foster's treats we will be enjoying next week.
It's almost here, it's almost here!
Time at the pool was cut short by Thunder storm. I can't wait Darlene has been looking for something to do in Nassau even though we keep saying will just stay onboard instead. By the way my mom has been on boats before just not a cruise ship.:hourglass
Lovin' all the pictures, we've never been snorkling before that would be so much fun! Do you have a camera to take underwater pictures? Congrats on all of the purchases, it's such fun shopping for trips. Do you guys go to the formal night, that's the one thing I don't like about cruising, don't know why, I guess I don't consider it vacation to have to get all dressed up to eat. LOVE the pirate night photos though. Have fun packing!!!! 7 days tomorrow baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:woohoo:
Lesley
cant wait to read all about it!
I love snorkeling of course I also love SCUBA diving but since John doesn't SCUBA I don't go too often. For some reason the rest of the pictures didn't post so here you go...
1008367tn9.jpg
Had to try on the fins, of course you can't really get a good feel for them kicking around in your living room...;)
1008369vo1.jpg
So we went outside to try out our gear...lol
1008370xu9.jpg
John is a bit camera shy. :rolleyes:
All was going well till we saw this....
1008372cm8.jpg
Needless to say we jumped out and headed in. We ended up watching "The Messengers" and I fell asleep. It stormed like crazy here most of the night.
Lesley, we aren't really planning on a formal night this cruise, I think there may be a semi-formal but the impression I got was no one goes all out, just business casual clothes. Much easier to pack too...lol.
I actually am expecting an underwater case for my camera to arrive today!!! :woohoo:
I got one last week but it had a leak and I had to mail it back, thankfully the seller shipped me a new one the same day.
Oh yeah before I forget.... 7 Days!!! This time next week I'll be in the terminal waiting to be called to board. And hopefully I'll be just about to snag a photo with Captain Mickey. :love:
