Ok, Spago for bringing up what we miss and, Dan for bringing up Elvis' 'new' CD.

(I explained my Elvis thing on Dan's thread.)

Anyway, at my baby bro's house tonight, for his 28th BD, he returned my 'new' Elvis CD to me with 2 cassettes of recorded Elvis, which included Elvis' Golden Hits and, the new one.

BUT, brace yourself!! When I told him I grew up on Elvis' Golden Hits ALBUM and the Live Las Vegas ALBUM, that booger produced them both for me, out of a moving box!! He had them!! Confiscated obviously from my parents! The Vegas album even has my written initials on it, as my claim, I guess! LOL The Golden album is from 1958!! Even before MY time but, I loved it nonetheless. The Vegas album is from 1970.

If only I had a record player!! Those were the days!!

Cool! I'm glad you got your albums back.

I am the keeper of my 8 siblings and my albums. Its funny looking through them, they range from the 60's to the late 80's and we definately have some doozies in the stack. With 9 kids, lots of albums were bought, I think we had about 500 albums. When my mom passed away, someone found them in a crate and decided I needed to be the one to keep them. I sold some at a yard sale I had (lots of people still want these things!) but the bulk of them still sits in my basement. I do have the original turntable they were played on as well, but haven't used in in years.
