My daughter is competing at an event in Epcot in a few weeks. I booked a 2 BR at Blue Heron for $517 for 5 nights. I've been reading recent complaints of guests arriving to the hotel overbooked! Since we aren't really on a "leisure" trip, I do not want to drive 9 hours and have to deal with drama.
Options:
Keep ressie at Blue Heron... there is a chance all will be fine. May even be able to use free shuttle to Epcot if daughter's schedule allows.
Or
Cancel my ressie at Blue Heron and have the following options:
Vistana- 1 BR for $585 (not ideal, someone will be sleeping on the couch)
Encantata- 2 BR townhome for $369
Polynesian Isle- 2 BR for $564
Encantata seems like a no-brainer (great price) but I'm scared. We stayed in a townhome in Emerald Island in January and we were very disappointed. The townhome was not up to par, pool was not really usable and the section was somewhat deserted.
Any input?
