Innaugural Coverage & Illuminations Music!

DH and I went and saw the innauguration at TGI fridays. Afterwards we spent the day running around in the car doing our errands. So we listened to it on our cars radio from ABC news. I was wondering if anyone else heard the Illuminations music being played when they went to and came back from the commercials?

Hey! I did not hear that, but NBC has been using Disney music lately.

The theme from the Year of a Million Dreams was on the opening of the Today show this morning. I believe that song is actually from the movie Peter Pan (not the animated version).

And have you noticed that the commercials for the Biggest Loser are using music from Soarin? I don't know if that music was from some where else or not - but I kept hearing it and I asked DH finally and then he played it on his mp3 player. It was probably from another "space" type movie - they use alot of those in the queue.

My DH picked up on that right away last night! The 2nd time it came on, he shhh'd me and said, "See?"

Glad to know we weren't the only ones.

I didn't get to hear it, but someone I know kept saying that it was Illuminations. I wish i could have heard it!

ABC News has to have been using that music tag for about 10 years. I remember noticing it around the time the Millennium Celebration was kicking off.

I was working in my office last night and the inaugural ball was on the TV in the lobby. I was so excited when I heard the music from Illuminations! What a fun way to brighten up a long night!

I knew the music was from somewhere in Walt Disney World! That's why it made me so happy.

My husband was watching the ABC special that was on from 10-11 last night as I was going to sleep. All of a sudden I heard it and sat right up (I'm such a geek) and started nudging him. He actually noticed it, too - "Isn't that Epcot music?"

I'm glad I'm not the only Disney nut out here...I'm so glad I found this place!!!

The Today show used something this morning also - it took me a while to realize that it was from Disney... (isn't that the wrong network???)

At first I thought I was going nuts. "MmmK", I thought, "I spend *way* too much time obsessed over all things Disney."

But, there it was, clear as day. I wonder whose idea that was... loved it.

I heard it too! I was on ABC/NBC for most of the day yesterday. I forgot which network I heard it on, but as I'm humming along w/ the music, I'm thinking, this sounds so familiar. Then, BAM!, it hit me. This is the music from Illuminations! I was so excited!

That is just too funny! My 11 year old son told me about it - he said they were watching it in school and he told all of his friends what the backgroung music was!!

I guess it is ingrained in my kids brains!!

Someone brought a tv in so we were able to watch it at work. The minute I heard it I was telling everyone is was Disney music, they all thought I was crazy. (But I know that's not true)
It was awesome to hear that since my close friends are in Disney right now. (We all work together so everyone at work thinks we're Disney freaks.)
