Has anyone ever stayed at the Inn at Summer Bay? I did a search and found that there was a Holiday Inn at the front of Sumer Bay Resort. Is the Inn at Summer Bay the Holiday Inn? I found a good price at hotelkingdom.com, but I am wondering if it is too good to be true. The Inn states I would also have use of the Summer Bay Resort amenities (10% off at Denny's, free manicure and pedicure, $10 off golf, etc). Since we are only spending one day at Disney I thought this might be a good place. I am worried that they may try and talk me into a timeshare with Summer Bay Resort and I would not want to stay there if that is what will happen.

Can anyone help me with this???

Thanks, Kelly

Haven't stayed at the Inn but Summer Bay is a lovely place. The amenities are very good, the staff around the villas and pools were always polite and friendly and driving wise it's very convenient for everything.

no the Inn is across the street - US 192 - not a nice street to try to cross.

that say - someone who posted here - stayed there and didn't like it - I don't remember why - sorry about that - but they hated it. don't remember if they had an actually complaint - or just didn't like the location?

the Holiday Inn is surpose to be much nicer.

The INN is right across the street ( 192) from Summer Bay. I believe that they may have a shuttle that runs around the resort and also to the inn, since their website says that you get to use the resort facilities. I really would not like to walk to the checkin-main pool area from there anyway. The inn is just a small 2 story motel, with exterior doors just like a small older super 8. I'd choose the newer Holiday inn express!

Thank you for all your responses. Something was not sitting right with me in regards to the INN and I am now glad I asked.

Thanks again for the great info!

We stayed at the INN in January of 04 and it seemed rather run down to us. Carpets were worn and it just didn't seem very clean. As a previous poster stated, it is 2 story with outside entrances. It was difficult getting across 192 to Summer Bay Resort. It also seemed like quite a distance from Disney compared with other resorts.

we also stayed there for 1 night before we got into our condo. I chose it because it was not a park day for us and I thought the facilities at Summer Bay would be fun for the kids. It was ok for 1 night, but I would not want to stay there for 1 week. We drove across to Summer Bay and used their stuff, but.....
Summer Bay looked very nice, but our experience was not so wonderful. 1st, we went to the water squirting pool area. Water was not heated and the kids did not stay long because of that. Then, we went to check out the beach facilities- well, you have to pay extra for that, and it was getting later in the day so we skipped that. Then, we went to the main(heated) pool. It was partially taped off with yellow tape. No signs explaining why or saying keep out(most of the pool was not taped off). A guest mentioned that he heard a kid had had an accident in the pool. But, there was no one there attempting to clean it or anything.
It is also very far from Disney. I would not do it again. It was cheap tho!
