Hey....
I have an ing account/s...and last night I looked to see what their us rate was and it was 2 cents higher than the t.d rate. So I opened a us savings account with ing and put a thousand in that. My question is.....if anyone out there has a us acct. at ing.....can you just transfer that U.S $ over into a U.S account at your regular bank like you do other $ at ING?
The interest rate is .75% for this us acct at ing but I know I am not getting even that much at the t.d.

just hope I can get it out when i need it.

You know ...another thing I wonder now that I am getting us money.....I usually pay on my mastercard for our trips cause I have the insurance package with my mastercard but if I send down a bank draft for the payment I will have to purchase cancellation insurance separately...hmmmm. This trying to save some pennies here and there is hard.

Yes, that is what I do. I don't keep much in my BMO US$ account, and then just transfer when I need to. I have a US$ MC that I pay out of the BMO account. You will have to link the regular US$ account to your ING account, sending in all of the information from the bank. HTH

I too have an ING US account and I believe I was told you cannot transfer to other account or get a debit card for that account. Makes it very difficult.

cool, that's great thanks.
Does your U.S credit card have an option for insurance on it. My mastercard now has canc. insurance, medical etc....
I suppose I can just purchase the disney insurance.

I transfer money from my ING USD Savings account to my TD Canada Trust USD account just as easily as I do with my ING & TD Canadian $ accounts.

You can't transfer from the ING USD account to another bank's CAD account. The transfer should be in the same currency.
