Ing Question - are there fees for withdrawing $$?

I looked around the website and I must have missed something - I found the transfer section where you can transfer $$ - but I wanted to find out if you have to keep a certain amount in there, or if there was a transaction fee?

Nope, there is no charge for transferring money back into your checking account. I don't think you have to keep a minimum over $5. I'm not positive, but that's what I seem to remember.

Nope, no fees for transferring and I agree - I think the minimum is $5.


It does seem to take a lot of time to transfer to or from my regular bank to ING.

And when you say "a lot of time" - what do you mean by that? can you give an example? like say - I did the online transfer on a MOnday and it didn't enter my checking account until XXXXday.

I transferred money both in and out of my ING account. It shows up into ING the next day, but they do put a seven day hold on the money, you can't transfer it back out the same week.

When I transferred money OUT of ING, back to my checking account, I did it not for the next day but for about three days in advance, I knew I had to transfer the money by a certain day. Well, they transferred it on the day I asked and it showed up that day in my checking account. I would think that's unusual, but it should go in/out in a day or two, as long as you remember that weekend don't count. So a transfer done on Friday, would not start until Monday.

I transferred money from my ING to my checking account Monday afternoon and it was in my checking account yesterday. This is the first time I've done that though so I'm not sure if that's a normal time period or if I just lucked out

So - I signed up with the Taxcut code last night - deposited $1.00
I checked the balance this morning and it had $51 in it - which I can't access until I verify the two small deposits it makes into my checking account (they said it would be 2-4 days for that) - so after I verify the deposits - when can I access the money? (and I realize that once I transfer the money, I have to take the "transfer time" into account too).

You won't have access to the $50.00 bonus for a while (If I remember right it was 30 days) The $1.00 will be available about 7-10 days after you did the initial transfer. They will show a date available for the $1.00 deposit on your account information on the website.
