Hey gang. Our airline has a flight the leaves just a bit before our scheduled flight. Close enough infact that if we busted through security we could make the flight if there was room. Anyone ever arrived ahead of time for ME?

First, I wouldn't be in a hurry to leave WDW.... :teeth:

I think ME is set up to get you to the Airport at least 2 hours in advance of your flight. I would miantain control of my luggage though. Wouldn't make much sense to take an earlier flight and have to wait for your bags on a later one......

I assumed the OP was heading to WDW, not leaving to go home???

I don't know the answer to your question though....

I guess it depends on availability when you get to the ME desk.???

You won't really mess things up for yourself if you try to go a little earlier in either direction. It's not a totally exact science, so it won't be a problem. It's not like they won't let you on a bus or anything like that. As a matter of fact, on leaving WDW I was scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. DME pick up. A bus pulled up at 3:45 p.m. and I asked if it was a late 3:30 bus or the early 4:00 bus. The driver told me it was a late 3:30 bus but I could still take it if I wanted rather than waiting for the 4:00 bus (which showed up on time, by the way). I cherished that last 15 minutes even if it was at the CBR Custom House -- why would I want to leave WDW earlier than necessary???

Yes I was talking about arriving in Orlando ahead of schedule.. It wouldnt do us much good to have to hang out in the Orlando airportwhen we arrive, rather than our's.....

PS. Anyone know why the word catch was "starred" out in my title?

I would go to your post and hit the edit button. You may have misspelled it, but I can't think of a swear word that is close to that!

Going to Disney there is generally no problem getting on an earlier bus. The final say is up to the CM's at the airport and there is no reason why they would say "no" other than huge crowds.

Returning home, it is again up to the CM's handling the bus boarding. Since passenger counts are supposed to be scheduled and reservations made, there is a somewhat greater chance you would not be able to catch an earlier bus.

If a CM or a driver let a standby board at one resort and the bus was unable to pick up everyone scheduled at the next resort, someone could get an infraction on his work record if not held responsible for emergency alternate transportation for anothe guest.

Are you sure you wrote "catch"? Or did you you maybe substitute the "c..." for "sn..."? ;)

I can't for the life of me figure out what might have happened with that title... "Catching" is obviously not a filtered word, and I can't see any close matches that could have been typos. :confused3

Like another poster suggested, you should be able to edit your first post and fix the title.

Or, you can just leave us all pondering what you REALLY thought about the earlier ME bus. :teeth:

I just had to open this thread to find out what unspeakable things were happening with that bus! :rotfl:
