Information on the upcoming Kids Swap!

Okay, the first thing I'm going to do is take all the fun out of it -- you cannot swap your children away! You have to keep the ones you have. Sorry.

I will spend this week making up a questionnare and be ready for sign-ups Friday, November 7th.

Now, if you could all help me and give me some input.

Spending limit: How does $5 to $10 (at the very most) sound?

Here's what I'm thinking -- If I take names this Friday, leave it open for 10 days, we are then real close to Thanksgiving and lots of people might be busy so how about a ship by date of December 5 so the kids can have their gift before Christmas?

Do you want an age limit or leave it open to all Dis kids? If you want an age limit what do you think it should be?

Do you want this all mixed up or kids ages matched up for to and from?

And, last but not least, per child vs per Dis member -- meaning if you have 3 kids in you send 3 seperate gifts out and get 3 seperate gifts in, yes or no?

Any other words of wisdom?

When sign-ups start I'll ask Beanie to stick it up top so it doesn't get missed. At that point you can PM me and then I'll PM you back a questionnaire, you fill it out and return it.

And if you don't have children but still want to play -- you could do as suggested in the earlier thread and donate the gift to a local charity. Just a thought.

I'm starting to feel sorta bad for you. First, nobody wants your puppy in the previous exchange and now nobody wants your DH.

Of course, I don't feel sorry enough to take your DH. I have my own and he's just about to turn 42. Although, yours will be younger than mine in a few weeks ... hmmm. Should I trade for yours or not?

a couple of 20's,,I thought that was a fair trade, 2 twentys for forty,, but it was a no go he's still here ,, I do have a funny story to tell about the puppy,, I was looking up information on boxers today and found they really like children so I turn around and tell DH this,, and he said as what A SNACK?? oh yeah DH will be 42 in a few weeks too 12/1,, oh well I tried

I guess I'll keep my DH. He'll be 42 on 11/16 so your DH will only be a few weeks younger. I guess the good thing is he's practically trained after almost 7 years (Jan 4, 2004) of being married. He even remembers to put the toilet seat down. Although I don't think that's so much for me as it to keep Miranda from drinking out of the toilet. Gross

If you have him trained only after 7 years,, you should keep him..I still haven't potty trained mine,,he sees a tree and he's just gotta go..*Yes I am talking about DH and not the puppy..*Yes he was raised by a pack of wolves * It's not that I'm a bad teacher he's just a slow learner

I was looking up information on boxers

Boxers are kid friendly but you need to let them know you are the boss. For example dont play games like tug-a-war with them if you're going to give them the toy......they think they're stronger than you then. Ours loves to "tackle" DS10 when he has her toys but she doesnt even try that with anyone else. Ours weighs about 85 lbs but she can be very gentle even when playing rough. She even rolls her lips in over her teeth so she doesnt hurt DS when he's playing with her.

that bit of information,, The Day we got him We had left our brains at home.. all we saw were the most soulfull eyes,, you have ever seen,,but then we got him home and heard the power in his jawsChomp Chomp made us alittle nervous it's also scary how fast he's growing,, my little baby doesn't fit on my lap anymore even though he still tries,, too cute..

And mal,, He doesn't do a thing for me.. too old.. isn't he like in his 40's

One suggestion. Can we have boys buy for boys and girls for girls. My son wasn't too kean on buying for a girl but I told him he might have to. Just a suggestion.
