Informal DIS meet for F&W and Half-marathon

DH and I are attending a French Regional Lunch at 12pm Sunday, so we may 'stumble' into a few of you when it's over.

Just thinking out loud, but maybe we should hold the meet outside of the theme park for those who don't want use a park admission before the Halloween party on Sunday night. In fact, we can hold the meet at the Tambu Lounge near the Magic Kingdom for those who will be attending the party.

I love, love, love this idea

I'm sure a lot of the cruisers off the WBTA would come too - there are a lot of Podcast listeners and very active Dis'ers on the ship (we have 300 participating in onboard activities).

You'll love Bonnet Creek!!!! I was totally against it when dbf was talking about sharing a 2 bedroom with another couple. So much so, that I made him agree to spending at least a couple of nights on property at SSR. Well let me tell you...it was almost a disappointment moving to SSR after being at Bonnet Creek. We requested a fireworks view room at BC and would sit on the balcony and watch both Epcot and MK fireworks. Spaceship Earth was the view from our room. If BC could add the dining plan and EMH I'd stay there every trip.
Too bad you couldn't make it early October. This will be first time meeting other Dis'ers and I'm very excited!

My MIL booked it without asking I would like it as the non-DVC choice. I knew it would be hard to get (we tried back in 2008 but got Sheraton Vistana instead). Someone just cancelled the unit moments before she called RCI to look to see what was available. I'm not sure if it is 1-bedroom yet since we are considering paying for MIL to fly down to join us as a thank you.

We stayed last year at the Paddocks section of SSR (we rented points for that part of our 3 resorts in 8 days vacation trip). Last year we did 1 night qs dining plan, 5 nights regular dining plan, and 2 nights---no dining plan. This time, I hope to do 1 or 2 nights on site before hand (waiting for more October deals).

We can't wait to see if Brussels gets good ratings. We did not have much time when we had a stopover in Brussels years ago to try the mussels.

Okay, now I have to wrap my mind around doing the half, after having thought I wasn't! And dealing with Dh and staying at the All Stars is not gonna be pretty. BUT, I'll check out the AP rates at All Stars tomorrow A.M. to see if there's any left. If it doesn't work out, I'll still be around to cheer Disers on!

In the meantime I'm still getting out and getting my miles in, though I have to admit I don't have quite the enthusiasm I did earlier.
