Informal DIS meet for F&W and Half-marathon

Indeed that is still the plan. I'm guessing this will actually turn out to be spread out over a few days because its just not practical to try to do all the booths at once. I usually find that by the time I get half way around I'm full and tipsy.

I don't have my intinerary in front of me, but I think we're also going to CA Grill on October 1.

I will be starting the day at DHS on Oct 1 and then moving over to Epcot by 11 am. I plan on doing lunch, snack, dinner, and dessert at F&WF. It IS better to spread it over several days but I'm staying one extra day to catch the first night. If anyone will be at Epcot that day or evening, I'd love to meet up for a drink or a snack.

Can't remember if I've already replied to this thread, scrolled through and couldn't find myself LOL. I'm arriving late Friday night (so sadly fri. dinner is out for me) and staying untill Tuesday. We have a group of about a dozen or so women, we usually come down for F&W, but this year decided to add the 1/2 marathon as well!!!
I'd love to fit in meeting some fellow Dis'ers!

So far the only meet that has been coordinated has been the Boma dinner on Friday as far as I know.

I'd jump up and volunteer to throw something together, but I have never been to a F&W so I have no clue what to expect.

I've done a snack or two and plenty of sipping, though.

You didn't miss anything. We're still several months away and the purpose of starting this thread was just to get people thinking about perhaps meeting up with each other while there. Probably in another month or so we can try to nail down some times/places but I don't look for this to be something really organized/fancy.

That sounds good. I'm sure that several of us will be doing that during the evenings on Friday/Saturday/Sunday too.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make this one, unless flight times/prices improve. We probably won't even land at MCO until 5:30 pm.

No date has been picked yet, and it sounds like there may be more than one. Monday has been mentioned, which sounds good to me. Plenty of time to rest up from the 1/2 and time to do other things.

I believe you can start eating and drinking as soon as World Showcase opens at 11:00AM.

Yes, I believe opening weekend is usually pretty busy, but it should slow down considerably the weekdays after opening weekend.

I'll be at MNNSHP on 10/3.

Monday the 4th would be better because of crowds, but I wonder how many DISers or runners are leaving that day. Although with the race(s) on Saturday and the Halloween party on Sunday night, Monday maybe our best option for a F&W meet.
