We're planning on doing one day at IOA mainly to check out HP World. Any tips? I heard somewhere that you have to get a reserved time to enter the Wizarding World. Is that true? How does that work and when is the earliest someone can enter (that's not staying on site)? How about the Three Broomsticks? Is it super busy there? Do we need reservations? We're hoping to eat breakfast at our rental and then do an early lunch at the Three Broomsticks and go back to the house for dinner. If we leave, will we be able to come back to the park later on? Would you recommend purchasing the FP option or not? It'll mainly be me & DH doing the bigger rides and the kids will be on the smaller stuff with grandma. Any other info would be great! Thanks!

Can I suggest reading through some of the stickies first? Most if not all of your questions are answered in them. Honestly not trying to be smart, but there's a small army here answering these types of questions daily.... :goodvibes

now i have to go back and read the op question......

basically, your time period should be decent on returning back to parry hotter ville an hour before the park closes for the shortest lines.
fj and ollivanders.
but ollivanders closes earlier than the rides in the evening.

the stickies will help you in all your questions.
some things off the top of my head:
eat at 3 broomsticks at 11, avoid crowds.
be at the park one hour before it opens.

the onsite homies will be entering an hour before that period.
you will be ahead of the regular entrance line then.
(you could still have a wait though at ph place.)

some of us hesitate to go out on a limb and say how the crowds will be a year from now.

the new section at ioa is still bringing in more guests and we don't know how much longer that will continue.
it kind of killed our usual touring plans that we have been doing since the park opened.

well, i have been going since 1993......so that is a bit after universal itself opened.

I'll take one of them. ;)

The FP is known as Universal Express at Universal. The best advice is to wait until you are at the parks and can judge its worth to you once you've seen the crowds on your day. If you buy them in advance, they are non-refundable and date-specific.

Yes, please come back and ask more when you've perused as many stickies as you can take.

since mesa took one, that means i get two more.

per damo, eh.........
