It was (basically) last month.

Star Wars Weekends do not cost extra.

Okay, thanks..How busy is Star Wars week???More crowded than Christmas??

It is unknown at this time if Star Wars Weekends are taking place next year. The official Star Wars convention is scheduled for Memorial Day Weekend in Los Angeles, a time that Star Wars Weekends have traditionally happened on. There has been no official announcement either way from Lucasfilm or Disney about Star Wars Weekends next year.

I've never been to the weekends, but the week after Christmas is the most crowded time of the year for WDW. MGM will certainly be busy during SWW, but apparently the non-Star Wars section of the park is not crowded at all.

Actually It's a very relaxed time of the year, not so crowded not so hot

Christmas in an international holiday:

The entire WDW property (resorts and theme-parks) is decorated, there are special parades, special fireworks, special night-time parties, special musical events, snow on Main Street, Osborne Lights... virtually EVERY school is out for a couple of weeks at least, people take extended vacations from work, entire extended families arrive at WDW for the holidays.

Hey, Star Wars is great... but seriously... it ain't Christmas. ;)

My family has gone to WDW at Christmas i was just wondering if i should compare the crowds for the holiday to Star Wars..Just wondering what to expect...

That's why I spelled out exactly how Christmas can be so busy at WDW, and why something like Star Wars Weekends (while popular) would NEVER be able to draw like Christmas... because of the unique conditions that ALL COMBINE at Christmastime.

As far as the crowd level for Star Wars weekends compared to Christmas, there's no comparison.I was at Star wars weekends this year and it was crowded, but not a big deal at all. The Food and Wine Festival in October and november draw a bigger crowd than Star Wars weekends. As far as Christmas from say 12/21 thru 1/3 has got to be the most busy time of the year at Disney, like you can't walk or ride busy!!! I was also at ESPN the weekend this year and the crowds were similar to Star Wars weekends probably less due to the time of year. Nothing compares to Christmas time, early in december crowds aren't bad at all, but the dates I mentioned earlier are crazy, lunacy but a great time to be at Disney!!!
