Info on Safari & Dinner at sunset??

I haven't yet looked this up, but can anyone tell me what Safari Dinner you can take at Animal Kingdom and if it is open to any resort guests.

I know the SUNRISE Safari can only be taken by Concierge guests at AKL. We have done that one last year. My sister and her husband enjoyed it so much they wanted to know about the other one and were wondering if they can take it when they stay at Boardwalk in the fall.

If so, anyone know the price???

safari is first open to concierge guests at AKL. Non concierge guests can sign up upon arrival if slots are still avaliable. Non concierge guests will pay a higher rate - $50 or so more - than concierge guests.

I took the sunset safari last year. Any AKL or AKV guests can take it. I don't think that you can take it if you're staying at another resort. Whoever I called looked it up to verify that I was at AKV that night. At the time it was $210 for non-concierge and $160 for concierge. That includes the 1 1/2 hour safari and 3 course dinner with wine at every course. If you want more info, let me know.

What time is the Grand Gathering Safari Celebration Dinner over. My family has booked this event and I know they will transport us back to our resort, but what time can we expect to be leaving the park?

The Grand Gathering safari dinner, which is at the park, is completely different from the Sunset Safari and Dinner which is at the Animal Kingdom Lodge resort.

That's true, I just recently booked the safari for my upcoming May trip. The CM told me that the sunset safari is now available daily to anyone staying at AKL and costs $170.00 for everyone (concierge guests no longer get a discount). You are not charged until after the safari for some reason though. I wanted to prepay it and couldn't. She did ask for my AKL reservation number and verified I was staying at AKL though. Oh, she also said that previously it ran just a few days a week, but now runs every day. It still includes a family style dinner at Jiko and wine with each course. I booked it about two weeks ago for May 3rd and had no trouble getting in. I'm in a pool view room, not club level. Oh yes, there are also no discounts for it (AP, Disney Visa, etc).
