Does anyone have any news, info links or rumors as to the cost of tickets and the dates that NoJ for the upcoming year? Please share. :)

This is purely a guess. For the past several years, Night of Joy (and Rock the Universe over at Universal) have been the Friday and Saturday after Labor Day. So, next year, it will probably be September 11 & 12.

As far as acts go, the "headliner" tend to alternate between the 2 venues with the exceptions being Mercy Me doing several years in a row at Night of Joy and Switchfoot doing several years in a row at Rock the Universe.

I would not limit yourself to one event or the other. I would wait for the concert lineup to come out then decide. I will say, Universal has offered fabulous deals in advance on their "rock your weekend" tickets. Admission to the parks Friday Saturday and Sunday along with concert tickets for less than the normal price of a 3 day ticket. This year you could get it with or without park to park access.

Thank you Jeremy. I was able to get a bounce back offer to WDW for a stay with free dining and wanted to attend Night of Joy both nights if possible. I doubt we leave Disney property since we won't have our own transportation. When do they formally announce the dates, line ups and ticket costs? Can you tell me what the tickets cost this year? :)

I want to say that tickets went on sale this year around the beginning of April and were $50-60 a night (I can't remember what we paid off hand). They also had a deal that if you bought the 2 night ticket by a certain date, you'd get a free admission to one of the Water Parks.

Z88.3 is the local christian radio station that's a host. They usually have a big announcement with the headliners. You can check their website or there's a NOJ facebook page (they may have some teasers closer to the announcement)

At NOJ '13 they announced some headliners for this year but I don't think they did that again.

One word of advice - bring a poncho or rain jacket! This year they were sticklers about people putting down their umbrellas at concerts so everyone could see (it was awesome!).

Have fun! We hope to be there at least 1 night this year :yay:

Doing some searching on Google I found the following prices for 2014. The prices for just the concerts are pretty comparable between the 2 parks. It's the Rock Your Weekend tickets at Universal that are the bargain. With free dining though I can see not wanting to leave the "bubble".

Night of Joy

Single-night tickets are $59 plus tax in advance and $69 plus tax on the days of the show. There is also a two-night ticket option, which is $108 for both nights and includes a 1-day admission to one of Disney’s two water parks or DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park if you purchase them through August 5.

Rock the Universe
Rock Your Weekend ticket – $120.99 plus tax

Both nights of Rock the Universe at Universal Studios Florida
Three FULL days of single-park admission (one park per day)

Rock Your Weekend ticket with Park-to-Park Access – $160.99 plus tax

Both nights of Rock the Universe
Three FULL days of park-to-park admission
Park-to-park access all weekend

Rock Your Weekend tickets are one of the best values Universal offers to the general public all year long considering that a regular 3-day ticket is $145.99 for single-park access or $185.99 for park-to-park access. The Rock Your Weekend tickets are roughly $25 less expensive, and they include the Rock the Universe two-night event!

2-night event – $95.99 plus tax

Both nights of Rock The Universe at Universal Studios

1-night event – $57.99 plus tax

One night of Rock The Universe at Universal Studios

You are awesome! Thanks for getting all of that information for me. It really helps. I think I already know the answer, but I need to ask if it is standing ONLY for the entire event or does anyone just sit on ground?? Very excited about going and having the free water park day would make it even sweeter. :goodvibes

The Night of Joy Facebook page has confirmed September 11th and 12th for 2015

Does anyone have a general idea about when the tickets for this will start being sold? I bought tickets last year but it was somewhat last minute so I would love to know more about when they first go on sale! Thanks!

Great information. I am planning on going in 2016. Can anyone tell me when you can access the parks if you only have the NOJ tickets? Is it similar to MNNSHP or MVMCP time? 4:00 pm?
