Now I realize that things can change in 3 years, but we stayed their for 1 nite in 8/00. It was a very nice facility. It was a block 'back' from the main road so it was very quiet - even though they were doing that massive construction work on 192 at the time.
We were told by the manager at the time they had the highest cont. brkfst budget around - we had a wonderful selection and a large seating area so we didn't have to battle for a table. At that time they even had Krispy Kreme donuts.
Our rooms were average sized but had a mini-frige and I believe a microwave too at that time. Bathroom was quiet nice size for a motel room. High ceilings.
Pool area out front - just a normal motel pool but the girls had a blast in it because it was quiet that day.
I was VERY satisfied with the place. I don't stay at Hamptons as often as Fairfield Inns, but I have only ever once been unhappy at one (Champaign/Urbana IL - but right on the college campus - I'm sure that had an effect!)
Other than the fact that I had $700 worth of Marriott GC's to pay for my motel room at the Courtyard DTD, I told my son I would have rather stayed at the Hampton.
(Again - my stay is a few years old - but I believe most Hampton's are rated 3 diamonds by
AAA.)
