Info on first week of Aug. crowds

Hi.... will be arriving July 30th and departing on Aug. 6th....can anyone fill me in on crowds at this time of year??? Have read on here that Fla. Schools go back the next week...so does that make this week really crowded???. Know better than to ask about weather...hot and humid...but couldnt be any worse than the dog days of summer her in southern Ohio...even now the last week here has been up in the 90's and HUMID...too early for that!!! We are staying at All-Sports, if someone could let me know about crowds there at the same time...you know like sports teams, cheerleaders etc...it would be greatly appreciated....Thanks

hey Adamsmom we are going that same time in august.We're from Ohio and the weather here has been awful.We go to disney always that first week in August. The weather is usually hot and humid just like it was this week here in Ohio.So you guys should be use to it. The crowds never seem that bad.Just use the fast pass and everything will be ok.

Florida schools (Pinellas County anyway) start back on August 3rd.

Yes it's hot right now and it's going to get worse. Bring lots of shorts, wear comfortable sandals and a hat. Drink plenty of water and take advatage of the misters. Plan to go to the park early, leave after lunch and take advantage of the EMH at night when the temp is reasonable. We just got back yesterday. The nicest day was Thursday because it sprinkled on and off all day. The clouds and rain kept the crowds and temp low.

Use the fastpass system to minimize line waiting time. For rides like Ellen's Universe of Energy - the theater is big. Don't wait in line broiling in the sun. Sit in the shade with a soda, when they start letting people in - go get in line. Also we like to pan for sit-down lunches. It gives us a nice break from the heat and the sun. I love the San Angel Inn - it's dark and cool.

I live in Florida, I won't be going back to Disney until October when things are cooler and less crowded.
