We are going to wdw in sept, & I've been thinking about getting an annual pass to possibly get a lower price on hotels. I've not been able to find out if they give me the same access to all the parks as an ultimate hopper pass would. We are going to be there for 8 days, (possibly 9). Not sure where to buy them either, I went to the official wdw site, & could only find annual passes for the water parks, etc. but not anything that looked like it was for the entire world. Can you help?

The regular AP is for the 4 parks only. If you are planning on going to the water parks and/or PI and the sports complex you would need the premium AP. I tried to go the the Disney web site because I was pretty sure the AP info is there but it is down. The premium AP's are about $100 more than the regular AP's.

There are two types of annual passes:

The regular AP that you see most people referring to provides one year of unlimited admission to each of the 4 theme parks. It does not include DQ,PI or the water parks.

The Premium Annual Pass (PAP) gives you the same as above plus DQ, PI, WWoS and the waterparks. It costs around $130 more for an adult than the AP. If you feel that you would spend at least that amount on admissions to the additional features, then it is worth purchasing. But keep in mind that having just an AP entitles you to discount on admission to to those other places.

There are two locations you should go to at Debbie's "Allearsnet".

The first, http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/ticketchart.htm gives the current prices of all WDCW admission media. Note these prices all include the 6.5% Sales Tax, which Disney does not include in its listings.

The second, at http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/apass.htm gives lots of information about APs. Sarting about midway down the page this shows all th current benefits such as discounts that AP holders receive.

Just wanted to make sure you knew that you don't have to have an AP or PAP in hand to make a room reservation with the AP discount. Make the reservation first (since AP room discounts are limited and by no means guaranteed) and then buy the AP.

FWIW -

An adult PAP (gives same access as UPH) is $544.31 w tax

Adult UPH tickets are:

7 nights/8 days = 380.22 w tax (advance purchase) or $407.92 w tax (resort purchase)

8 nights/9days = $408.97 w tax (advance purchase) or $440.92 w tax (resort purchase)

Depending on how often you want to visit PI after 7, a waterpark or DQ, it may be less expensive to buy an AP (not a PAP) and pay separately for the waterpark, PI and DQ admissions.

Best wishes -

thanks to all for the info, it has really helped, especially the links to "allears".
