Info on 6/15 Magic passengers who were left at St Thomas???

We just got back from the June 15th Magic and had a great time. However, the ship had to go back and pick up a group who missed getting back on board on time at St. Thomas. We heard lots of rumors on why Disney decided to go back as this is unusual for them to do (such as children on ship and parents missed getting back on time, etc.). It caused us to be about an hour late arriving at Castaway Cay on Friday. Does anyone know the real scoop on what happened?

That's the same info that was posted here by others on the cruise or corresponding with those on the cruise. So far that's the story everyone has heard.
