This is our second trip to Disney, we are wanting to do a character breakfast this year, I am thinking of Chef Mickey's, We are staying off site, should I make ps? How do I do this? And is this the breakfast that has the fancy mickey waffles. Thanks:wave2: :wave2:

definitely make PS for breakfast; this one is very popular! we had to wait just a bit in august. this is a good buffet and does have the mickey waffles! you can call 1-407-WDW-DINE to make PS arrangements. good luck!

Breakfast is great at Chef Mickey's (dinner is awful). I would most definitely make a PS and yes this is where you can get the Mickey waffels & pancakes.

I would like to know too why you think dinner is also as we have a PS for 10-26-04 to celebrate my daughters 6th b-day. If anyone else has any input I would appreciate yours as well.

Thanks,

Tracy

We eat dinner at Chef Mickey's on the first night of every trip. Although the food is not "gourmet", we enjoy it very much. If you expect high quality food, you will be disappointed. If you expect normal buffet food, you will be fine. I know the price is high for "just ok" food, but it's Disney and it's a character meal. I think you are paying for the entertainment value.

Chef Mickey's is one of those places that just has the Disney spirit. Being in the CR, with the monorail going past, the festivities of Chef Mickey's....I don't know, it just feels right to us.

The dessert bar is very good, btw, and as far as seating is concerned, we have never minded where we were seated. I just don't get "bent" over stuff like that!

My opinion is you have to form your own opinion. Give it a try, and if you dislike it, you don't have to go back! You may find that regardless of what others say, you will like it and make it a tradition like we have!

Chef Mickey's at dinner is our favorite! I think the food is great. It is a little hectic and it's a buffet but we enjoyed it. My favorite breakfast is CRT for the food and I like that they bring it to the table.

I think you will find that people either love Chef Mickey's or they hate it. We like it. Both breakfast and dinner have been good, at least as far as we are concerned. My family chose to eat there for Thanksgiving dinner. It can get quite rowdy in there tho. So, if you're looking for somthing peaceful and relaxing, keep looking!!! The food is fine, just not gourmet!! Pretty typical of most of the dinner buffets in WDW.

We have not eaten dinner there so I cannot comment on that, but we love breakfast there. We have had character breakfasts at 5 other restaurants( Ohana, Cape May, CRT, Crystal, 1900, but this is the only one we have repeated.
