Info about DTD

I'm staying at the Beach Club Resort. We're going to the T-Rex Restaurant in Downtown Disney for my son's 4th birthday. Can anyone tell me the best way to get there and approximately how long it will take? We'll have a car at the resort if needed. Thanks!

Id say drive your car! Or take the bus and Id expect about an hour to make sure you make it in time..

Beach club resort.......take the bus to DTD and get off at either first or the next stop and you are close by......when we stayed at the Dolphin this is what we did....no problems getting there.....

Yes, give yourself an hour if taking the bus. When trying to make an ADR, I'd take a car over the bus any day . We ate there last Wednesday and were horribly late for ours thanks to bus system (and we gave ourselves plenty of time). At check in they were nice about it though. We were celebrating dd's 4th bday and asked to sit in the Ice Cave and were given awesome round booth just under the embedded T-Rex skeleton. I think it was the best seat in the house! This was a favorite on our trip. Atmosphere, food, and service were great. (The chocolate extinction is super yummy). So worth the headache getting there.

PS- our ADR was for 5:15. We arrived closer to 5:40ish. Upon arrival it was busy, but was able to walk right up to podium. By the time we left, 7:00???, it was a total madhouse out front. Crazy giant line to check in.

Since you will have a car I would highly recommend driving yourself to Downtown Disney, because you can get there between 10 - 15 minutes. For whatever reason the Downtown Disney buses from the Deluxe Resorts seem to take forever both going and coming back, which is why my family and I always drive ourselves when going there.
