Would like any info about the BC resort. We had always stayed at POR, did our honeymoon at POR but on our last visit, found the service going downhill. Decided to try YC since my DW is from New England but no rooms available but got a standard room at BC. We'll be there Sept 19 for 10 days.

The Beach Club is awesome!!! It is located right next to the Yacht Club and directly across from the Boardwalk. You can even take a boat to the Studios or EPCOT. They have a sand bottom pool and a wrecked ship that doubles as a water slide. They have the Beaches and Cream soda shop which has an HUGE ice cream thing called the Kitchen Sink. It is actually delivered in a little sink. SO CUTE!! They also have a lot of good restaurants including Cape May's. For kids, they have the Albatross Treasure Cruise. They go around on a boat hunting for treasure. You can also rent boats during the day or have a specialty cruise at night where you can watch Illuminations from your own private boat. If none of this interests you, keep in mind that you are so close to the Boardwalk and Yacht Club and you can just go try out some of the cool things that they have to offer.

We love Beach Club (will be staying there next month). We have only been in the Villas, but they share everything and the resort is beautiful!

Just being over in the Boardwalk area is so much fun! I like the lighter colors at BC as compared to YC. I don't think you will be sorry. It is so much fun to stay there. I can't wait for our trip next month!

Thanks everyone for the information. We are so excited about going and we're hoping the transportation to and from MK will not be a problem. Walking to EPCOT and boats to HS is going to be nice. One thing I found about staying at POR is when the parks close, the buses to the POR is always at the furthest point at all the bus terminals and it always had the biggest crowds waiting to get on. It happened every single time, no matter the time of year. Have a happy Mickey day everyone!!!

We just got back from a split stay at POR/BC. We liked POR, LOVED the BC because of the location and the pool -- it absolutely made our trip. Not having to deal with buses for few days was heaven -- I much prefer a boat ride or walking to the parks. However, we did have a couple issues with housekeeping when we checked into our room, which was initially very disappointing. They were very nice and addressed this for us, and we went on to have a good stay, although I was never very impressed with housekeeping.

The bus to MK for Rope Drop was practically empty --- 8 people total with us -- big change from POR! And the way home (mid afternoon) we waited maybe 8 minutes for another half-empty bus.
