Infants needing socks for PP pics?

Just wanted to see what others experiences are after reading on another thread that some people had to put socks or shoes on their infants in order to get photopass pics taken. Some say they had issues, others none, some had mixed. Anyone have a definitive answer or recent experience to report? Our daughter will be 7.5 mos. when we go, but she is super tall for her age and looks like she's over a year old.

That is my little one - She is 11 months right now, not walking and thinks shoes are evil. I have never heard about this before! I will be interested in seeing if this is actually true.

I don't know about photos, but for ANYTHING they need to have sometinng on their feet. My DD2 was about a year and had kicked her Mickey Crocs off in the stroller. When we got to the head of the line at the Speedway-type ride, the Cm wouldn't let her on, as she couldn't be barefoot. So we slipped DS4s socks off, put his boots back on him and put the socks on DD.
Just wanted to let you know Disney DOES folow the "No shirts, no shoes" rule!

I was asked to put DS's shoes back on when he was 15 months old. I think they only require socks and/or shoes if the kid is going to walk up to the characters. I totally forgot that DS had kicked his shoes off when we walked up to the characters in Character Connection that time! We just went to the stroller and grabbed his shoes after the first picture.

I think that is it. They can't walk around barefoot in the parks. In the strollers they don't care.

My kids were definitely barefoot in WDW as infants and we never had a problem. My youngest DS had been to WDW 3 times by the time he was 17 mos old and I don't think he wore socks or shoes at all on those trips. He also was a late walker, so he was in the stroller or being carried wherever we went.

I don't know how it works for infants, but here's my experience from June. DD5 went to the BBB in her special dress and got done up. Afterwards, we went up to the camera shop on Main St to get her photos done. She was wearing sneakers, which wouldn't have looked that great in the pics. I took her sneakers and socks off and had her pictures done in her bare feet. We weren't outside, or with characters, but the photopass photographer never said she had to wear shoes. When we were done, we put the socks and shoes back on and went on with our day!

Try Robeez shoes for little ones who hate shoes. They stay on better than most!!

We took my neice when she was 8 months old and she never wore shoes...then again she wasn't walking. So I think you are safe as long as they are in the stroller or you are holding them!

They are SO cute that they almost make me want another baby so I can get more....I said ALMOST LOL.

We were just at Disney in April when my son was 16 months old. I forgot he took his shoes off and I started putting him down for a picture with Frozone. The character assistant said I was not allowed to put him on the floor without shoes.

Wow. I'm pretty sure my then 10-month old twins didn't wear anything on their feet the entire time we were at Disney. Of course, they spent a lot of time in the stroller or sling. But no one every said anything.

My youngest DD was just 18 mo in June for our trip...she didn't really want to walk up or be left by the charcters alone or even w/ her older siblings...but it does make sense that they don't want anyone slipping or falling.

But if your child is not even going to be standing...I wouldn't fret.

My funny/cute story is we were seeing Cinderella, when my DD kicked off one of her crocs and then Belle commented "look she lost her slipper just like you"

They did not make me put it back on her....

My guess is it is ONLY for walking toddlers.
The first time my little one was 9 weeks, no one said anything (although I think she probably had socks on since it was december).
The second time, she was 15 months, and kept taking off her shoes. The PP would NOT take her picture without shoes. We dug out our robeez, and she happily wore those the whole time and we never had an issue again.
The PP told us that they can loose their job if a manager sees the pictures they took, and someone does not have shoes on. The first day we did not have the robeez with us, they were in the room, we just would put her shoes on when she got down to see a character.

I looked and our Photopass definitely is without shoes. We went when DD was 7.5 months. I didn't even own any shoes for her. It was August too. She's really easy going but I bet socks and/or shoes might have made her crazy. But she was no where near walking. We didn't have any for character meetings, but she was crying so hard, no one probably noticed she didn't have on shoes.

I can see if a kid has any chance of their feet touching the ground/carpet/etc. but for someone who's not walking yet, I wouldn't worry.

When we took dd for her first b-day she didn't wear shoes the whole time we were there. Nothing was said then. We took ds at 7 months and sometimes he had shoes on, and sometimes he didn't. Again, nothing was ever said to us. I have tons of photopass pictures of both kids with characters and no shoes. DD also had her pictures taken after BBB barefoot. The photographer actually recommended her to be barefoot. Her pic is in my siggy!
