This may be a silly question but how can I get my 9 month old son's picture taken with the characters...they won't hold babies, will they? Does this mean DH or I have to be in the pictures? :worried:

Our first son's first trip he was 15 months and ran up and hugged every character :cloud9: So, this is a first with a non-walker!

Pooh, Eeyore, and Tigger played with DD on the carpet for a pic! This was in the UK in EPCOT :)

HTH!!

We always did the family shot or had our oldest hold the baby (she is almost 5 years older then one sister and 7.5 years older the the other so I didn't have to worry about her dropping them, you'd know that for your kids.) Theres always the stroler shot, just make sure if there is a canopy pull it back so there is no shadow on the face.

Mulan held DS(10 months) Other than that, it was family shots, just DH or I holding him or DS in the stroller. Still got some wonderful pics though. No better way for DS to chew Mickey's nose than to have Mommy holding him at face level LOL

My son was 13 months when we went in December and all the pics with characters are of him and us holding him except for when he is sitting in high chair at character meals and when he got his pic with princess Belle at Norway character dinner. When we went over to Universal we did the Grinchmas breakfast and had the best character interaction and pics without us in it of the baby. Cat in the hat actually had him on his lap and it was so cute! The Who's and thing one and two were great photo shots.

The face characters will hold the baby at their own discretion. They are requirerd to sit down on the floor though. My 6 mo old flirted with every character! Cinderella and Belle held him and both gave him a huge kiss on his bald head. It was priceless.............

I know I already responded, but that reminds me of when we took DD to the Princess Bfast in Norway. Mulan gave her a big ol' kiss on her forehead, she *loved* Mulan. I couldn't bear to wash it off! hehe.

I wouldn't trade DD's interaction with the characters for anything. It definitely isn't the same as interaction with bigger kids, but it's definitely special. :lovestruc

The characters technically are not supposed to hold babies (especially the fuzzies).

well, I think the policy is they can not hold infants.

But, I have the greatest shot of mickey, and my 9 week old, with my almost 2 and almost 3 year old as well. Yes, Mickey was holding the baby. And, truthfully we had a couple characters take the baby, and for a long time. Mary Poppins (when she was in the toystore, and no one else was there but us), held the baby for almost 15 minutes while we did the kidcot station there with the two other kids.

So, I would go with the expectations that characters can't hold the baby, but it might happen.

I do know (and not sure if it will apply since your child is 9 months, we got yelled at when mine was 15 months, not sure it makes a difference), that photopass will not take a picture unless a child has something on their feet. My 15 month old kept chucking her shoes, we lost one and had nothing (she was held most of the time, or in the stroller, and we had socks with her) for her to put on her feet. The photopass would not take her picture without something on her feet. Thankfully her robeez, which she could not take off were back in the room for the rest of the trip.

That is correct. If the child can stand on their own for the picture, they have to have shoes on.

Mickey held DS when he was 15 mos. Belle held same DS when he was almost 3! I'm not sure why she did. It wasn't until after the trip when I was looking at the photos that I noticed the pic of Belle standing and holding DS. DS also had a big lipstick mark from Belle on his cheek. I wish I could post it, but it was not taken with a digital camera...
