Infant in restaurants - stroller or car seat?

We just had the baby either in one parent's arms or in the sling. Once baby could sort of sit supported, then I used the sling as a seatbelt to keep baby comfortably in the seat. I have no idea what the policies were but our babies wanted to be held a lot at that age and it was a lot easier not to bring our stroller in and just use the sling.

We have been able to take the stroller in many restaurants at Disney for babies. Once they are bigger than did ask us to park them. The only restaurant I can think of that we had to hold our infant was the plaza! And if you've ever been in that place....it's tiny! One of our favorite places. we eat there every trip....but no room for a stroller! I would always know your plan B though bc I would not assume that the stroller will be allowed. Every cast member is different. Have a great trip.

Definitely get a wrap (stretchy or woven) or a ring sling before baby is born. They're the easiest carriers to use with a little baby. YouTube how to use them, and if it isn't really clear you probably have a local babywearing group that would be happy to help you learn.

By all means walk up to the host stand with the stroller, especially if baby is sleeping, but you'll want another option if they can't fit the stroller in that day, and a carrier will leave both hands free to eat!

I think having the baby in the car seat while you eat is best - it's dangerous to hold/wear the baby while you are eating. Something hot could spill on the baby, etc. Pediatricians keep changing their minds about what's right - baby should lie flat on back, flat on stomach, on her side, car seats are fine, car seats are horrible, lying flat in the stroller is good, now it's bad, etc.
