Infant carrier help

I would like to ask a stupid question, please! lol I didn't do any babywearing with my DD (although I definitely should have bc she was colic). I want to do it this time around but I will be having another c-sec. Do I need to wait like 3 months before I can babywear with any of this suggestions or does it not put any pressure on the wound?

I didn't have a c, but hopefully someone here has a personal experience answer to give you. I can tell you a friend of mine used the Hotsling (the only hold to use a newborn in that sling is the cradle hold) with ease after her c section. She used it within a couple of weeks of delivery.

I haven't had a section, but I'm sure a lot of mama's have over on TBW (thebabywearer.com)- I'd ask over there as well. I would think though, that you could use a few different carriers. The wound is pretty low right? I'd think something stretchy like the Moby wrap might be good. It's light weight, and really not that hard to use once you learn a couple carries. People really like them for newborns, and you can get that great skin to skin contact!
They are pretty easy to nurse in, and Dad's can wear them also. People like the stretchy because they are more forgiving when you are first learning to wrap, if you buy a woven wrap, it will last you from newborn to preschool!

I had c-ections with both of my pregnancies. I was using the hotsling by 4 weeks, and had used a bjorn already. You are already carrying your sweet little one with your arms....

The only thing I could forsee is maybe getting one on?

Thank ou so much for your response. I wasn't afraid of the lifting so much as the possible pressure from wear the baby carrier lands or presses. Glad to know you were baby wearing in no time. I DO NOT want to wind up like I was with DD just holding her in my arms non stop and getting NOTHING done bc she would cry if I put her down. This time, baby in carrier and business as usual! Thanks again.:cheer2:
