I'm assuming that both of the FA's that responded to this post work for US-based airlines. Just FYI, carriers based outside the US have different regulations that they must follow, depending on what country's laws apply. Some of these directly contradict US FAA recommendations.

If anyone reading this is flying in from outside the US, be sure to check and make sure what your own country's regulations are.
