We're taking our 3 month old to WDW on Sept 30. Right now he's still not on any kind of sleep schedule but happily will nap in his stroller when we are out at the mall or whatever. Do you bother trying to get back to the hotel at a decent time or just let them fall asleep in the stroller in the parks?

We normally play it by ear and see how the day goes. Sometimes we are back to the resort earlier than others. I wouldn't kill myself to get back real early if he seems content just hanging out in the stroller or whatever

When we went with a toddler, I wore her in a Solarviel sling. (I made mine myself, but you can easily buy them.) She would take naps up to an hour long in it in the morning and I could still go on easy rides. No one was tied down to the stroller while she napped. We would return to our room in the afternoon for a longer nap for her and our other kids. And DH and I would often grab a few winks ourselves!

I second the sling. We went with my DD when she was 3 months and I just put her in the sling and nursed her when she wanted and the rest of the time she was content to look around or sleep. If your baby will sleep in the carriage, I wouldn't worry about getting back too much just for naps. When he's bigger and in more of a routine you may have to go back. But they are so easy when they are little. You might be the one who needs the nap!
Enjoy your trip!!

I definitely wouldn't worry about a 3 month old. They are so easy to please, lol! They eat when they're hungry and sleep when they are tired. I would bring some kind of sling or front carrier for a baby that little though so that way you could still go on rides, shows, etc, while the baby is sleeping.

Its definately more convenient for the baby to just sleep in the stroller. We went when DD was 8 months and she just leaned back and went to sleep. Make sure you bring your own stroller though so baby is comfy. Congrats on the newborn!

The sling is the way to go, I agree. They will just sleep where they are of you are wearing them, no problem. And you still get to ride rides and see shows. If they sleep in a stroller someone will have to wait with them until the baby wakes up. I like pouches for small babies, because it's easy to pop them in and out.

My daughter is almost 9 now, but we went when she was a baby. I wish those slings were popular then! She seemed to sleep so much in her stroller throughout the day, that she wanted to be up all night. Her schedule really got messed up. I think even if we had left for nap time, she'd still have slept all day while we were out! Good Luck!!! I hope it all works out for ya!

After our experience w/her there so young.....we haven't gone back yet! We are going in May...she'll be 9, my next 6, and my youngest 5! Hopefully they'll be able to stay up for Illuminations!!!!!

We HAD planned to go back to the room for DS to take his daily scheduled nap. Never happened once. He fell right to sleep in the stroller and DH and I had some time to ourselves to switch off riding the 'bigger kids' rides.

let the baby sleep at will and just keep on going.

I agree. You would be running ragged if you tried to get back to your hotel for naps. I brought my DD at 3 mos. and we let her lay in the stroller for most of the time we were at the parks. Just make sure your baby does not get too warm in the stroller. You may want to consider a stroller fan.

When we took our 3 month old he slept in the stroller. We had a stroller fan to keep him cool. I wish we would have remembered to take the front carrier though, because my son loved to be looking around and wanted to be carried much of the time when he wasn't napping. He was very versatile and we didn't have a problem with him.

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions. I will look into a stroller fan and we are also taking our sling.

Interested in other opinions we are going end of Sept with my DD who will be 10 months old???? She weights 22 lbs so is a sling out? Won't a sling be SUPER HOT????
