Has anyone seen any inexpensive pin lanyards anywhere. My daughters are show a lot of wear after 3 long trips and I'd rather not pay $20 for new starter sets. They don't have to be Disney necessarily, though that would be a plus?? Thanks all.

I know I bought dd's lanyard at disney without pins and it was only like $6. We had also bought a Hannah Montana one at the Dollar Store for a $1. I have often seen disney lanyards there for $1. Sometimes I have seen them at walmart too.

If it's just the lanyard you need, you don't have to buy new starter sets....just a lanyard. The cheapest ones in the resort shops are about $6.00.

They sell more than just starter sets at the parks. You can get just a lanyard by itself now (in some really cool designs) for around $4.

We have a Disney outlet store in an outlet mall by us. We are going to check there for some, plus anything else we may think of including autograph books and pens. All the princesses at CRT made a big deal over DD5's pens when they could each sign with a pen that had their name and pic on them princess:

Another place DH and I are going to try is Claire's and the Icing(pre-teen, teen aged jewelry and piddly crap store in our mall :rotfl:)

I saw Disney Pincess and High School Musical ones at Michaels for $1.

At Michael's I got:

HSM, Hannah Montana, Camp Rock, Cindy and Sleeping beauty!

I heard they had cars ones too, but they didnt have any when I was there!

Hope you can find some!

Dana

Try any of the nearby grocery stores as well. The Publix on International has a slew of items like this at very reasonable prices.

If you are wanting to buy one before you leave home, I'd say try Claire's, Michaels or Hobby Lobby. There is also a great seller on ebay that I've used a lot. He just went full time selling just Disney World and other Disney related items. His seller name is sellandship. I know that he has lanyard starter kits really cheap!

I just looked on eBay and found several for $3.99 including shipping. You can't beat that!

There's also a website that sells pins and lanyards. We ordered some before our trip and they shipped them right to our room (from Tinkerbell). The kids had a great time trading pins! www.mousepinsonline.com

If you're at all handy with a sewing machine then your local fabric store likely sells webbing. I found some 1" black webbing earlier today for less than $1.50 per yard. The store had a pretty good selection of colors, too. Plus, by making your own lanyards, you can tailor their length to your daughters' preferences and make them as short (or in my case, as long) as you need them to be.

EDIT: You can "reverse engineer" your existing lanyards -- and recycle the hardware from them.

There is a website Oriental trading.com that you can buy a dozen lanyards for 4.99. I also found at Michaels craft store Dismey lanyards for a 1.00 I also picked up badge holders for 3.99at Staples and that was for 10 I am using these for park tickets for EMH hope this helps
