Does anyone know where I can get dyeable shoes? I'm in my sister in law's wedding and I am having a hard time finding them. They had them at David's Bridal and I figured I could get them cheaper somewhere else. The only place I was even able to find them was Payless and they were 44.99. Anyone know anywhere else I can try?

Thanks!

I was going to suggest Payless, but for $45?! No way! Around here (Chicago) you can go to bridal shops that sell 2nd-hand brides maids gowns and shoes, including not-dyed shoes, at a substantial discount. Maybe in your area, too?

You can try online. JC Penney used to offer them.
I didn't know anyone still did the matching shoes anymore. I know I did black shoes for my 'maids, and the weddings I've been in we've worn either black or white shoes of our own choosing.

I went to dyeables website and did search for stores in my area. I found a local shoe store that sold them.

I was going to suggest payless. Last time I bought them they were $25. 45 dollars??? :faint:

Me either. The dress is a write-off but if you get dyeables you can never wear those shoes again either. Is there a reason you can't pick out a nice metallic pair or some other matching (but not matchy matchy) pair from the quality store you prefer?

Get something you like and is comfortable. Then have them redyed a darker color. Black, Navy or brown to wear with other dresses. The dress doesn't have to be a "write off" you could always ave it shortened to wear for another occasion. Hope this helps.

If you are getting your dress at Davids try ebay, you just need to know what the color is called.

None of us have been in a wedding in like 10 years so when the bride was like dyeables everyone just said ok. I thought we should all just wear silver but didn't think much of it til I started looking. My one sister in law already got hers at David's bridal and had them dyed so I can't even try to talk the bride out of it.

I went to Sears and JCPenney and they didn't have them in the store. If you do it online how do you do the color?

I'll try a different Payless (never know) and I'll try that dyeables online.

Thanks!

Go to David's and look for the shoe mark downs. I got a pair there for less than $20. I was pleasantly surprised. They won't dye them a second time for you though.
