We're having our office party next week and I was trying to think of something inexpensive to give out....

I love the whole snowman poop thing, but isn't it done to death? Is there another fresher idea like that? Another coworker is giving out lottery tickets, so that idea is already used.

I think there will be about 25 people involved.

I am making spiced nuts (can't decide on the recipe yet) for our neighbors. I got little plastic Christmas containers from the Dollar Tree (2/$1) and I will line those with tissue paper. They hold about a pint. But...nuts are expensive! So if you have lots of folks you may have to use extra tissue paper or find smaller containers, maybe goodie bags from the Dollar Tree.

I just made choc covered pretzels - melt the wilton's chocolate in microwave - red, white, green and milk chocolate and then sprinkled with festive holiday jimmies, etc - quick and pretty inexpensive - I use the Long pretzel rods and bag them in 3's with a pretty colored ribbon to close the plastic bag

I like the looks of those pretzel squares!

Oh and the pretzel rods is a good idea too. I made those for a bake sale in September. Totally easy.

Our neighbors make homemade hot chocolate mix for all the neighbors each year. They put it in mason jars and use a piece of Christmas fabric between the lid and rim to make it "festive" looking. You could probably use some Gladware or something not as expensive as a Mason jar too.

So glad someone mentioned lottery tickets.. I almost forgot them for stocking stuffers!!

:santa:

Now, gotta ask this. I have a friend who is making cashew rum brittle or something like that and selling it by the pound.

How many pounds do you think I should buy to put in decorated baggies per person for 20ish people?

Sometimes I make up individual potpourri satchels. I might make my own little pouches to put the potpourri in, or sometimes I buy, in bulk, pretty little bags (I like the thin, somewhat see-through ones). Just tie the top with a pretty bow. They can be thrown in a drawer to keep things smelling sweet.

I've also given homemade chocolate, and ornaments.
