I'm looking for a nice, yet relatively inexpensive blanket to get each of my DS's 4 teachers for a basket I'm puttign together. I'm looking for a fleece or even possibly a micro-plush. Any suggestons?

I have seen them at Walmart for I think 4 or 6 dollars. Kohls has a couple more though I think they run a bit more expensive. I dont know how soon you will need them but I think Kmart normally runs a deal on black Friday. I hope this helps.

i think I saw some in this weeks KMart flier, 4 for $10.....I'm not 100% sure if it was KMart but I know I saw them because I was considering getting 4 of them.

ETA these were fleece blankets and I'm not sure of the size. :)

I'm definitely going to check this out. !

You might also check out Dollar General if you have one near you. I've seen some nice ones there for good prices (I've also seen some that weren't good quality, just depends on what they have in stock).

ETA: Do you mind sharing what else you're putting in? I actually have a good stock of the fleece throws from when Kohl's had them on clearance (bought about 20 of them since they were so cheap). I've used some of them but would like some new ideas! :)

Sure! I'm putting the throw, gel eye-packs, an aroma therapy candle, a soothing jazz x-mas cd, bath salts and gel, hot chocolate mix in a cute mug, and some comfy socks... it will all be placed in a bag that I got from Thirty-one gifts for $5.00!!!!! along with the poem:
Forget about work,
plan to relax.
Make some hot chocolate
then just sit back!

Put on your new socks,
grab the new throw.
Light up the candle
and turn the lights down low.

Turn on the music...
away you go...
Go ahead and relax
Nobody will know!

that is one of those items that always pop up every year at black friday sales. If you can wait till them, you can get a nicer one for less money. I better quality basket with less items is better than one full of cheap items.

I may just wait as suggested. Where are all the BF ads so I can start shopping!!!!!!

Well, my cat loves the one I got him at Wal-Mart last Christmas. The label says 100% polyester, Mainstays for Wal-Mart. It's very soft. I put it on part of the couch, and he's always hanging out on it.

Last year in early December, K-Mart had fall and winter fleece throws on clearance for $3 each online. A friend and I went in on an order together to get free shipping (if the order was $75). I think I ordered 17 of them. Gave one to each family member and a few to co-workers for Christmas gifts. They are really nice. I'm hoping more will be available again this winter. I think they were left overs from a Thanksgiving Day special they had running.
