Inexpensive BDay Present

My DS gmom on dads side is turning 70 years old Sat. DS dad is having suprise party for her and I need to get her a present. Here is the problem I dont know to much about her we live in Pa they live in NJ. My DS doesnt get to see his dad or gmom that much also they have to have the best of everything. They go by consumer reports and by the top of the line everything where I buy from dollar stores, walmart, and things like that. Where they have to have Liz Claiborne, Mikasa, Bose and ect.(not sure if top of the line but you get the idea. What can I buy that is inexpensive but looks like its worth more.

Flowers are always nice. And who could resist a sweet young grandson with a bunch of daisys to hand to Grandma!

How about a framed picture of the two of them from when DS was younger?

Go to TJ Maxx or Tuesday Morning and get the name brand item for lots less! They also have nice jewlery items if you wanted to get her a necklace. TJ has nice foods if you wanted to do a basket with all English items or jams and jelleys. They have so many nice brands.

I also love the picture idea - either from the "good old days" or current - and flowers or a plant.

Or combine the ideas and get a beautiful heavy crystal vase ($10 - $15) at TJ Maxx (would retail for $50 - $60) and then place flowers in it. It will be a hit!

I was also going to suggest a nice frame and family photo! You can get beautiful frames for low cost at TJ Maxx, Marshalls and tons of other places!

For gifts for Grandma's and the like we usually get them something personalized from our kids. We upload digital photos and get calendars made or notepaper, etc. with photos of the kids on them from an online retailer. They are unique gifts and grandma always loves another photo of the grand kids.
