Inexpensive Airline Tickets – Spring Break Hello, I am looking for inexpensive airline tickets. The problem is this is around spring break so I am having trouble. If you have any ideas, I would love to hear them. Here are the details: People flying: Me (mom) and DD (11) Need round trip tickets from Georgia/Florida – Ohio We have to arrive in Ohio on March 28 and depart on the 31 (or it would increase hotel costs). I am flexible on the Georgia/Florida airport if it is a significant price difference. My daughter lives in Tampa, so preference of airports are: Tampa St. Petersburg Orlando (other nearby airports within a 2-4 hour drive) I work in Valdosta, Georgia and have an apartment there so I would also consider these airports but DD would miss additional school days: Valdosta Jacksonville Atlanta (only if really significant difference) I have never been to Columbus, Ohio so I am not sure if there are more than one airport in that area. My daughter has flown before so if we cannot sit together that should not be an issue as long as we are on the same flight.

Go to kayak.com ( or any other fare-seeking website) and plug in your airports and dates you should be able to get several results to compare. It would be cheaper to fly off-peak ( very early morning or late at night). Mid-week travel is usually cheaper than Fri-Mon. Bit if your dates are set in stone, then you'll have to accept whatever price they ask.

Kayak has a fare predictor and can estimate whether now is a good time to buy or if fares are expected to drop. It can help you to decide whether to pull the trigger on tickets now or wait for better prices.

With a little research you and look up when the schools in surrounding areas are not on break.

I've heard that the PA schools aren't on break when my NY schools are on break, so driving to PA can save about 200/ticket when we are on spring break.
