I was thinking that with all the complaints about the Indy Speedway as a waste and it always being on the top of polls on Disboards for worst rides, it would be great to have it redone with the "Cars" theme. All the cars could be based on the main characters from the movie and the scenery from different movie scenes and Radiator Springs /Rt. 66 could be added. I think it would be a hit.

What's wrong with it now? I mean, it always has a long line, kids love it. We don't need to re-theme to a movie, although Disney probably will eventually.

A great idea. Kids already enjoy the ride, but would probably enjoy it more if they could associate it to characters they know from Disney. It isn't like it currently matches anything Disney related (Herby the Love Bug?) and most kids would probably rather see Cars than Indy racing anyway...

Probably a lot more cost effective to update this ride to a Cars theme than to build something new, also.

I don't think there's any question that Indy will be redone as a "Cars" attraction. One rumor bandied about on the Rumors Page was that the entrance will be redon to make the attraction part of Toontown since Indy never really fit with the Tomorrowland idea (especially after Tomorrowland's redo) and certainly won't as Radiator Springs.

This idea has been tossed around quite a bit (Cars theming) recently. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it happened before long.

I'd say it's a no-brainer. They have to do it. :)
