Indy rider switch

Two weeks ago when we were there both times we did Indy they gave us paper rider switch passes which were good all day. (Instead of adding the FP for an hour window like other rides rider switch). Is this normal? I was speculating that maybe because the fast pass line can take a while and it breaks a lot? Anyway we preferred it as we had more flexibility with the old paper pass method.

I wish they'd go back to the paper pass for the rider swap on all the rides!!!

We didn’t have a paper pass when we did it in September. I know that on the first weekend of October, the fast pass system went down

Interesting...we’re going Saturday and plan to take advantage of rider switch. We usually just do the ride pretty quickly after the first group is done, but not sure it would have been within an hour. I’ll have tonkeep an eye on it. Thanks!

We were just there last week and all rider switch for us was electronic, except once at GOTG when the CM's scan thing wasn't working correctly...in that case we got a paper return. I think they only issue paper if something malfunctions. Which is too bad, I would prefer paper.
