Indians Jones Stunt Spectacular reopening??

What you are seeing under the roof, in front of the seating, is the back side of the scenery for the initial scene of the show, where Indy crosses the booby traps up to the idol and then the boulder chases him down. Those are on trailers that are currently parked making the scene. Once that part is over, they pull away opening up to the rest of the stuff used for the market and plane scenes.
Edit: when we used Indy as a relaxation station in late March, this was how things were set up.
So that doesn’t sound like a huge effort to get the theater back ready for shows? But then obviously the time on top of that for training and rehearsals.

I was thinking about this on my morning walk today, and had a few thoughts:
1) The continued delay is due to the fact many of the larger shows haven't come back on. Whether it's costs involved in equity performers, or concerns over large groups of people seated together during COVID, or the relative low attendance not needing the capacity, this and a few others still haven't come back.
2) I note they're revamping that Nemo show, and wonder - with the latest Indiana Jones film in production now - if they're looking at an opportunity to add a segment or two (if not rework entirely) the show involving aspects of the other films.

It would come out just in time for the 60th anniversary.

They have the props. The actors have to be chomping at the bit to come back.

Do you mean 40th anniversary? Raiders of the Lost Ark came out when I was in high school in the early ‘80s. I may be getting old, but let’s not rush things! :joker:

No, WDW's 60th Anniversary. i.e. It will take them 10 years to redo it

If it opens, it'll eat up all sorts of people. And if lots of people are there instead of making lines longer at other attractions, then they'll be less inclined to spend money on Genie+. Add in the fact they don't have to blow up anything, work on anything, or hire stunt actors, and Disney has every incentive to keep it down.

Can they make money off of Indy if they open it? Nope. Then it won't open.

Both my wife and daughter have been chosen as extras on separate occasions. We want Indy Jones open before our upcoming trip!

Yup, it was announced today. There was no mention of changes or anything at this time. I have always said it could use an update, but now I actually just want it back the way it was. I've missed it!
