Indianapolis mini marathon

Any other DISers doing the Indy Mini this weekend? This will be my first race, although I know I'll be walking most of it.

There are 35,000 participants in this half marathon (largest in the country). Surely there'll be more than one DISer, right?

Not this year. Did it last year and had a great time! (Although a cold front blew in, that I was not ready for ).

DH and I have done it twice, it's one of our favorites. Not doing it this year though. Have fun!!

I did it last year and thought it was a good race. It was cold and I didn't have a good run but that was my own fault but the course was good.

My only complaint was there was no GU on the course. I know they don't want the empty packets dropped in the speedway but there was plenty of race left afterwards.

Indy is close and I feel like I have a score to settle with the course so I'll do it again but this year I'm doing Pittsburgh instead.

Kinda looks like we all did it last year! I'm with you Frank - definitely want to do it again; just not this year. Last year was miserably cold and windy, and I want another shot at it. Plus, it was DD's first half, so we ran it with her at her pace (can you say SLOW?), and I want a shot at doing it at my pace. (Never mind that she pretty much blew my PR out of the water at Myrtle Beach a couple of months ago.) Amazing what a year, and being healthy, can do for a 20 year old.

Good luck - surely SOMEONE else is doing it this year!
