Indiana Jones Ride

I'm new to this board, but am a long time WDW fanatic. This might be an old subject, but going to bring it up anyway. Does anyone know if they've ever considered or have plans to put the Indiana Jones Ride from Disneyland into Magic Kingdom or perhaps MGM even? It is my favorite ride at Disneyland as well as everyone I've been with there, and I'd love to see it incorporated into WDW. I could live without the Maderhorn (sp?) although that one would be nice to see at WDW too. I'm just into the "thrill" rides, so another one would be wonderful.

It's been widely rumored that the ride will replace the show sometime after the new stunt show opens next May. There are also rumors that this show will never open in Florida. So your answer is... a definite maybe! I'd like to see the ride.

Oh, that would be nice. Never been to DL... is that ride really as nice as it sounds? Details please?

It's great . It's inside a studio and very well decorated with great special effects and it actually moves (not simulated). You're in an outback vehicle and you have to make it through a bunch of classic Indiana Jones obstacles such as the big boulder, a huge snake, fire, arrows flying by, bugs, etc. There's some fun, little drops in it (like a mini roller-coaster sort of but definitely Disney style). It's not like any other rides to really compare it to which is a lot of the reason why I like it. It's definitely more on the "thrill" ride side though.

It is a great ride!
It is the same ride vehicle and ride as Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom, except with a Indiana Jones theme of course!

Forwhat it's worth, our tour guide on our recent Keys to the Kingdom tour was asked about the Indiana Jones ride coming to WDW, and he said as far as he knew there were no plans to do so because it would be duplicative of the Indiana Jones stunt show. He didn't say anything about any plans to shut down the stunt show.

i've been on both and other than the fact that they use the same vehicles there is no comparison between indiana jones and dinosaur - indi is visually the best ride in any disney park and, other than perhaps tower of terror, it is the most satisfying overall experience. it is helped greatly by the fact that it has what is easily the most interesting and immersive queue of any disney ride. i would say that its surroundings (the mystique of adventureland in disneyland) add something to its magic that would be hard to recapture anywhere in mgm.
