Indiana Jones closed?

Anyone know why Indiana Jones show in Hollywood Studios would be closed Saturday, February 1st? I had a fast pass and received an email telling me my FP had been changed. When I pulled it up, there are no times available for that day - it says closed. Open day before and after. ???

As I recall, that is around the time the cheer leading/dance competitions are held there.

Correct. They use the Indiana Jones theater for some of the competitions. Most are held at ESPN WOS but there are some events in Indiana Jones theater. Feb 1 and 2 are National Dance Team Championships.

Interesting I didn't know they used the theater for other occasions, sorry to thread jump but does this happen at other times of the year at Indiana Jones with other things?

Yep I'm betting the cheerleading competitions.

They also rent the theater out for private parties (I've been to one) but usually that is after park closing; I'd guess that they would rent even during opening hours to anyone who is willing to pay enough to offset that.

Forget exactly where I found this, but: Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular will be closed Feb. 1 & Feb. 8.

Really annoying! I'm assuming this wasn't all decided yesterday...but that's when my fast pass was cancelled! We're a group of 15 - our days are well planned. Changing now...not going to be great.

ESPN says dance championships February 1st and 2nd - and the Indiana amphitheater is one of the venues. Has anyone been to HS on one of these weekends? What are the crowds like?

We've been on those weekends a couple of times. Crowds aren't any worse than normal that time of year. Might run into some cheer squads that are sort of loud-ish but never bothered us.

Since backlot tours is already closed, we've decided to swap days and go when Indiana jones is open and there's a normal amount of estrogen and hair bows at Hollywood Studios.
