Just got back from Indy IV. Loved it, it was a blast, best Indy movie of them all, and among the best action/adventure films ever.

I have no idea how so many people could say that it was such a horrible movie.

People need to lighten up. The movie was good, clean, goofy, occasionally corny (but what's wrong with that? :confused3 ) and just.. a blast.

Highly recommmended.

I need more Indy Dr Pepper.

i still havent seen it an i need more dr pepper to i dont care whatsoever whos on it

seriously.
i mean have those critics SEEN the other indy movies...
all of them are campy and at times, corny, but that's what makes them so awesome.
indy 4 was excellent (the first 3/4 were amaaaazing) the like 1/4 was sorta weird-ish...but i still liked it!

but last crusade is still my favourite one! :thumbsup2

Kinda like with POTC: AWE. It was rated sooooo bad by critics as the worst POTC movie.
Well..it's my favorite movie ever.

I think we're gonna see Indiana Jones tomorrow..

i disagree with all of you.

yea, the first indy movies were kinda corny, but they were not SCIENCE FICTION.

that is ridiculous. i dont want aliens in my idiana jones movies.

same with POTC. the first one was GREAT. there were only living dead people.. 2nd one was still good, but to predictable. but at worlds end was SO disappointing.

for the love of god. there was a giant chick!

what is this? the attack of the 50 foot woman from the sci fi diner?!

I have to agree with imagineer4life that it was too much sci-fi. It just didn't seem like a true Indiana Jones movie with all that science fiction mixed in. I hoped for just a tad more adventure and less of following around the skull. I did like it though, just not as much as I liked the others. Shia LaBeouf was amazing! :goodvibes

I somewhat agree with you BUT Indiana Jones 4 was set in th 50's and during the 50's aliens and UFOs were a HUGE thing. A main factor of the movie was time. The subject of aliens and UFOs empahasizes that times have changed and the Old Indy has to adapt to what his 'job' has evolved to.

Besides, it was hardly a sci-fi thing.

But I hear you.

But you know what? It's not Lucas' fault. It's the dumb politically-correct world we live in's fault. All 3 other films were about religious artifacts. Because the world would cry foul if they tried to do that again, they were stuck doing what they did, and IMO it turned out great.

I forgot to add that in my post. And the whole Nazi thing had to be changed.

I loved this film. I'm seeing it for the second time tomorrow.

It's the 4th Indy film, it's not really like the others, which is why I like it.

::yes::

exactly.
all the other films were relevant to the time periods that they were set in and this one was as well.

I don't pay attention to what the critics say.
In my mind they are a bunch of stuffy 55 year old men who don't know how to make or laugh at a joke.

Roger Ebert wrote a great review of it :) But I agree about the others.

It was so cute how many elderly couples were in the theater to see Indy...

But it was also ridiculously wrong how many 3-year-olds there were.

One kid behind me to the left kept shouting "Are they dead??!!??" whenever he thought someone died. (Ex. the guardians of the Kingdom of the Crystal skull)

I wonder if this movie will be better the second time around :)

I'll tell ye tomorrow! :o

I didn't read the reviews before I saw the film the first time, but I've read them now. So I'll be able to analyse it more.
