Anyone ever stay here? I got quoted a really cheap rate and of course, that makes me nervous. Still, I can't pass up the offer if it's legit.

How far is indian ridge from the DW gate? I've seen the map, but it means nothing since I don't know the traffic in the area. I had an offer in Rolling Hills, but it fell through (someone else was looking at the same dates, and they had contacted the owner first). Indian Ridge seems a bit further out.. but is it too far?

Don't know the home but do know the area and Indian Ridge is only a few minutes further than Rolling Hills and the Formosa Gardens ( 5 min. at the most) You can use Sand Hill Rd or Old Lake Wilson Rd to get up to 192 and then take Sherberth Rd into the Animal Kingdom area or turn right on 192 and exit onto World Dr. The gates to Disney would be less than 10 min.

Hello, we stayed for 3 months in Indian Ridge 3 of the last four winters for 3 months and really enjoyed it. Unlike most other Disney rental communities only about 1/2 of the homes here are rentals. The others are owner occupied so you have kids waiting for school buses, people walking pets, and a few homes that very "live in."
These are older homes built in the last 80s and early 90's They have nice pools, are on larger lots than even the fancy homes in Windsor Hills. Ours had a nice tile walk-in shower in the master. From the looks of the pictures the furniture looks pretty basic and early "floral florida" so it is probably a little dated.

You should get a very good price on this home considering the competition and the economy. IMHO well under $100/night.

Location is great for not having to hassle highway 27 or much of 192. To get to Disney just go north on Old Lake Wilson, turn right on 192 and go to the Disney entrance. To exit Disney quickly, follow the signs inside Disney to Animal Kingdom. Be ready for a couple of quick right turns! As you approach AK stay LEFT to Animal Kingdom LODGE. At the stop light turn LEFT on SHERBERTH ROAD. Take Sherberth to 192 and go straight across 192. Go straight to a fountain at entrance to Westgate...go around the fountain and straight out to Old Lake Wilson and right to Indian Ridge. We did this all the time and you miss a lot of the exit traffic from Disney at night.
I would feel very comfortable with Indian Ridge. This home looks very comfy but not fancy. There are lots of fancy ones around, but if the price is right and you want a nice pool, comfy place to crash and want to focus on the attractions, I think you this will suit you just fine.

Good Luck...Ted

I haven't stayed at the property, so I can't speak to that, but I have gotten quite a few great deals in Orlando.

I've had a 4Br/3Ba house with a screened pool in a gated community for $480 for the week. I had a 2Br/2Ba condo at Cypress Pointe Grande Villas for $300 a week. Just last Christmas I stayed at Bonnet Creek in a 2Br/2Ba (checked in on Christmas Day) for 5 nights for less than $450 total.

By all means, check out your facts but don't let the fact that you've been offered a great deal make you dismiss it as too good to be true. There are some great bargains to be had in the Orlando area if you're willing to be flexible! :thumbsup2
