Several of the "finalists" are in Indian Creek - thoughts, suggestions, travel times and suggestions to the various parks? Any insights welcome!!

Our top house is in Sunset Lakes though.... that's close by too, right?

Indian Creek is about 3 to 4 Miles from Disney World. Its very easy to get to the parks. I don't think you will go wrong with Indian Creek.:goodvibes

Which house in Sunrise Lakes? We have just narrowed it down to two and think we have chosen the one we are going to rent. It has been tough, but I really like the people we have "met". I am a worrier by nature though and have found it hard to finally decide. This is the one I think we are going with ... http://www.vrbo.com/68276. The other one is ... http://www.vrbo.com/110619. Both are really geared to families with young children, which was a real bonus for us!

As for location, Sunrise Lakes is on US27, which is at the end of 192W. It isn't that far from WDW. We have stayed up here before and always go to the SuperWalmart, which is a mile south of this subdivision!

I'm not sure of the other subdivision!

Good luck ...

Sunrise Lakes is on 27 north and Sunset Lakes is just west of the Formosa Gardens area on Funie Steed Rd., just 2 or 3 minutes from Indian Creek.

Indian Creek would be much closer than Sunrise Lakes if it's North of the Super Wal-Mart on US27. I'd say you'd have about a 10-15 minute longer drive each way from Sunrise Lakes vs. Indian Creek. It can take a long time to get down 192, even though it's just a few miles. So, I'd recommend Indian Creek.

Sorry for the confusion. ;)

Yes, it is SUNSET LAKES. Changed OP.

http://www.vrbo.com/72024 is the house.

OK, Sunset Lakes is just about as close as Indian Creek. I took a look at that home, and I personally would be concerned about the "pet friendly" indicator. After a recent hotel stay where the sofa was covered in dog hair, I'd avoid any place that allows pets. But that's just me and my recent experience! I'd probably ask if they do any extra cleaning after a pet has been there. I seriously would not want dog hair anywhere in a house I'm renting!

I believe Sunset Lakes is a bit older, and when I looked before, many of the homes clearly looked it (queen bed instead of king in master and blue or pink carpet). This ones looks like neutral carpet at least! The pics show blue countertops in the bathrooms, which dates the home a bit, but it looks really neat the the bathrooms have double-sinks.

Good luck with your decision! I think it's lots of fun finding a home for a Disney stay!
