Yea LOL a rest break...

We did the 4th of July trip five times and I'll never go back at that time unless I can wear a porcupine suit.
The crowds were literally elbow to elbow.......

That is ALOT to cover on an EXTREMELY busy and crowded day at WDW parks.. I would recommend cutting out the monorail trip back to TTC, you will be backtracking and will risk missing the firework show at Epcot which is definitely worth seeing IMHO..

Surprisingly,it is easy to do.:)

"Disney's Celebrate America" is at 9:00 and ROE/"The Heartbeat of Freedom" is at 10:00.

It only takes 9 minutes on the Epcot Monorail from TTC back to Epcot.

It is SO much fun to see both shows "back to back".:)

Also, the cool thing about watching "Disney's Celebrate America" from TTC is it affords a great look at the 360 degree perimeters and the Mirror Fireworks.:)

lol....

my wife and my first day at WDW was July 4, 2010 at the MK. I didn't think it was that crowded (that was my impression at the time, I now realize it was crowded). Now, based on my memory this is what I remember:

Splash, Space, Thunder were about 100 minutes throughout the day after about 11AM.
Pirates' line was out the building and wrapping around in the covered area.
We had a weird extended queue at Haunted Mansion where we walked down stairs and along the river (can anyone confirm this? I remember this pretty vividly but I've never seen the queue going down near the river on any other trip so maybe my memory is wrong)
We watched the fireworks in Fantasyland outside Pooh's gift shop and it was "full" but not "elbow-to-elbow, pressed up against your neighbor" crowded

I'm pretty sure it was incredibly crowded relative to other days. But it was our first time and we had no way to judge the crowd size because we hadn't experienced anything else.

Also, since this was in 2010 it's possible the crowds were lower due to the recession. They DEFINITELY were lower than they would be July 4 2015 because WDW has many more visitors now than they did 5 years ago.

So, yeah our only trip on July 4 was really fun and didn't feel too crowded.

But I, also, wouldn't go to WDW during 4th of July week. Going now it would be ridiculously crowded. And unlike Spring Break or Christmas you'd have that oppressive heat and humidity to deal with.

And the BO....the BO must be really powerful with all those sweaty people!
