Independence Air delays???

My sister in law flew from IAD to MCO last Thursday, She just returned last night. She said the flight down and back was a night mare. Flight down was to depart at Noon. They arrived at IAD at 10:30am and around 11:30 they were told no plane! They were told to wait. They kept checking at the desk and were told that they were trying to find a plane. Finally 2 hours after the original departure time a plane showed up. They boarded the plane and the plane taxied out. But then it returned to the gate. They were told it had engine problems. They had to get off this plane and were told to wait yet again. They waited another 2 hours before another plane was available. They boarded this plane and finally arrive in MCO a little after 6:00 PM. Which was over 4 hours late. The flight back was originally scheduled for 7:00pm last night. The boarded the plane and taxied out. Then the pilot came on and said they had radio problems and they were going back to the gate. The plane sat for over 2 hours but what ever problem was wth the radio, it was fixed and they finally left sometime after 9pm. They didn't get back to IAD until after midnight. Is the norm for flyi?? If so, I have tickets for April and now I'm thinking I maybe better finding another carrier.

Wow - that was bad luck with both flights. I have flown 8 segments with them and all on time with great service. Booked again for March. Hope this was just a bad day!

I sure hope it was a fluke! I am booked with them in April.
