Incredibles Preview Review

From Jim Hill Media, an article about long previews of the Incredibles at Comicon in San Diego. His impression is that the film will be fabulous, better than anything Pixar has done.

I suppose we'll all find out in November.

I've seen the film and it's good, but I wouldn't classify it as the best thing Pixar has ever done. Not from a storyline standpoint, and not from a character standpoint. There is a lot of great humor, and some fun characters, but there's definitely not the "heart" that we're used to in Pixar films. No Nemo and his dad or Woody & Andy or Jessie and her dreams or even Sully and Boo. There wasn't that "hook" for me.

As an animated action film, though, beautifully done. I just felt it was missing the heart, which is what I think has been missing from a lot of the Disney features as well.

Just an opinion ...
