Incredible service at Coral Reef

We were at Disneyworld from Sep 17th through the 23rd on the dining plan. I just wanted to thank and recommend Tony at the Coral Reef. The service and the atmosphere more than made up for any shortcomings with the food. Our server was Tony who made us feel completely relaxed and comfortable. I believe he said that he had been with Disney for 13 years. I've worked as a manager for a fine dining restaurant, and can be hyper critical when it comes to service. It was by far the best dining experience we had for our vacation. We had a great time and once again, thank you Tony!

How was the food? What did you get? We have a reservation at Coral Reef for lunch on my birthday! I haven't been there before and I am excited about it (I love fish and I am excited by the aquarium), but a bit nevous b/c Coral Reef gets mixed reviews.

the food was ok... I had the NY Strip steak which was pretty lackluster comparing it to Le Cellier's. I can't remember what the rest of my party ordered, but what made Coral Reef special to us was the great service. Also, LOVED the view of the fish tank. It was extremely calming watching the fish float by. It was a much needed break after dealing with the crazyness of the parks. Have a great Birthday!!!!!!

BTW-we have always enjoyed our meals there and is a must do on our list. The atmosphere is a bonus for us.

I love Coral Reef - the atmosphere is great with the aquarium, we've had good service there and excellent meals. I always get the steak there and it has been superb every time - I think it's better than Le Cellier's steak.

We loved the food and serivce, but last year we waited over a hour to be seated. I asked and they said that it was pretty typical forthem to be that backed up. It was a 4:00 ish seating for the CP package and we barely made it to the show. We ar skipping it in favor of Le Chefs and Le Cellier this year.

We had a wonderful experience at Coral Reef! We were seated right at our ADR time, and this was during free dining this summer, had a wonderful pleasant, attentive server (that even offered to take a family picture for us) and wonderful food. We all had the steak and enjoyed it very much. My DH liked it even better than LeCellier! I still liked LeCellier better but it was really good. All this plus the aquarium made this one of my family's favorite meals of the week. We were just really glad we didn't have to pay for it! The bill for the 5 of us was over $200.00.

My parents were there at the same time period and had horrible service. Waiting an hour to be seated (at 2:00 p.m.???). Food was horrible. They ended up getting another meal afterwards because it was inedible. They also said it was so loud inside you couldn't hear yourself think. It was the only meal that they hated for the week. It's weird how a different server, different day, different meal can make somebody love or hate a place. lol

Glad you had a great time. I went last week and thought the food was good but the service was terrible. I knew not to expect quite but you couldn't hear yourself think. I was a lone and sat next to a table with two guys. A large group came in that the manager apparantely knew and sat them next to us. They had a chair they didn't need so he pushed it over into my chair and left it there blocking my way. They guys next to me couldn't beleive it. I pushed it back and after awhile the mgr moved it. Would not go again.
