Thanks to you wonderful people my Grandson and I had an incredible "MAGIC MOMENT" on our trip to the World a month ago. I had heard mentioned on this borad about the brushes hidden on TSI and ask my grandson Evan who is 7 if he would like to try to find one while we were on our trip there. He got so excited and sad yes...and on the Thursday of our trip we left early so we could be on the first raft over. We made the first raft and when the raft docked on TSI the CM running the raft told everyone that there were brushes hidden on the island. This caused quite a stur and everyone ran off the raft and the hunt was on. I took Evan up a path that no one took and on the way down the other side of the path something yellow caught my eye. I mentioned it to Evan so he could find it...and sure enough it was a yellow Tom Sawyer paint brush. He was so excited and so was I!! It was such a truly "Magic Moment". I just want to thank all of you on this board for all the information you provide to those of us who are still learning. Evan and I will remember that moment for a life time and maybe he will be able to take his grandson to WDW to TSI someday and find a brush!!!! Here is the photo of Evan and the brush....thanks again so much....peace...Jim

Thanks everyone for your wonderful replies. It was just an incredible experience. Some have ask if he got a reward. The answer is yes.....a BIG "YES". Let me share that part of the story. I had read on this board that is you ask real nice sometimes they will let you keep the brush!! So when we returned on the raft and turned in the brush...I ask the CM person if there was any chance that Evan could keep the brush. He said no that Disney didn't do that anymore and ask if we wanted fast passes for BTMR or Splash Mountain. I told him my wife was an artist and that if he got to keep the brush that she was going to put it in a shadow box for him to keep as a Disney Treasure. Again he said no and ask what passes we wanted. I told him that our group was at the Animal Kingdom and that we could not use the passes and to just give them to a family that doesn't find a brush. He then said "if you had just stuck in in your back pack I would not have known"...and I told him that Evan and I just could not do that so he again ask what passes we would like. I again told him we could not use the passes and told Evan to give him the brush...and he looked at Evan...then me...then Evan again...and smiled...and said...just keep the brush!!! Evan about lost it again..gave him a hug and said thanks....sooooo much. What an experience. When it is in the shadow box...I will try to post a pic. Sorry for the long story...but again...just another example of how this board helps "Spread the Magic"...peace...Jim

Oh no! Now they will all get to keep the brushes!!! Don't post this on the biggy board!:thumbsup2:goodvibes

What a cute picture of Grandson...so proud!
I love this story. What a lucky boy. I will definitely have to try this with our boys the nex time we go. Thank you so much for sharing a great magical story. :goodvibes

Thanks for the nice comments.....it was just one more thing that makes the "World" a special place for children and yes...even Grandparents !!! Jim

That's one of those things that makes the entire trip worthwhile.

I'm glad to hear that they're still hiding the brushes. Rumor was that that was stopped. My 2 nephews and 1 niece may be going for their first ever WDW vacation this August so I'll have to take them on over to the island.

Congrats to you and your grandson. What a wonderful memory! :wizard:

Thanks for sharing! Your grandson looks so excited. Worth the price of admission ;)
