We went to Disneyland in June for 6 days, stayed at the Grand Californian and had 6 day park hoppers. It was Myself, Wife, Son1 (7yrs) and Son2(3yrs). We had a great time, except for the fact that son2 couldn't do very much at California Adventure. He had just turned 3, and is small for his age, so we could have gotten away without paying for him, but we like to be honest. In fact most of the time, the gate attendents didn't even want to swipe his ticket, saying he didn't need one. Two times we were told by different Gate CM's that we shouldnt have bought him a ticket. Well when we got home, I wrote a letter saying how much we enjoyed Disneyland and the hotel but they should maybe switch to a height requirement charge at DCA (I know they would never do it, but just a suggestion). It really wasn't a complaint letter, just trying to let them know that DCA needed work for little kids. A CM wrote back and said they were sorry and that they wanted to do something for us to invite us back and to send our sons ticket back in. I figured they would give us maybe a free ticket for him to return. What I got was a shock. I got 4 (FOUR) - 6 (SIX) day Ultimate Park Hoppers that are good for 2 years. We couldn't beleive it. At most I was expecting was just a free childs ticket. But wow thats a few hundred dollars worth of tickets.
